this drama is just masterfully made. how is he unhinged but just in the perfect way and you can see the contrast between how coldly he treats other people and how endeared he is by her. and how he's struggling between his goals and this burning protective urge towards her like he's drawn to her and can't help it.
and she's just so sweet and pretty and sincere and she's strong and she's been thru so much but she still does so much for him and she relies on him and he really feels the desire to protect her and do things for her
like wowww. the actors the director the screenwriter everyone did amazinggg can't wait in 5 hrs to watch the next episodes

the microexpressions are just crazy- whoevers coordinating this is doing an amazing job. there are many scenes where zhang linghe stares at her and you can visualize what he's thinking and it's so stunning and she also such pretty, expressive eyes

xie zheng is like peakkkk masculinity. chang yu is super sweet and genuine and I think he really appreciates how she fights by his side and values the people around her- and he emphasizes with her situation and wants to be the one to step in and help and feels offended on her behalf when people look down on her.
and then these scenes where she's so vulnerablee and she has tears in her eyes and you can just see the emotion in his eyes- like he needs to do something about it. when she was walking away from him and he was ready to annihilate the gathering likeee. zhang linghe and tian xiwei have outdone themselvessssss

oo yeah. I just couldn't figure out if he's going to be the actual SML or just a guy they temporarily place at the beginning of the story lol. I wonder what role Deng Kai is going to play

me when im trying to do my homework but this drama has taken all the space in my head so i cant think about anything elseeeeeee

lol i misjudged this drama. for years i didnt understand the hype. then after rewatching first frost (which I love) I was like ok let me try it again and i skipped to after they reunite when she's in college and i was like wow. ok this is good!
