xie zheng is like peakkkk masculinity. chang yu is super sweet and genuine and I think he really appreciates how she fights by his side and values the people around her- and he emphasizes with her situation and wants to be the one to step in and help and feels offended on her behalf when people look down on her. and then these scenes where she's so vulnerablee and she has tears in her eyes and you can just see the emotion in his eyes- like he needs to do something about it. when she was walking away from him and he was ready to annihilate the gathering likeee. zhang linghe and tian xiwei have outdone themselvessssss

lol i misjudged this drama. for years i didnt understand the hype. then after rewatching first frost (which I love) I was like ok let me try it again and i skipped to after they reunite when she's in college and i was like wow. ok this is good!
WOAH. like woah. this is so good. the chemistry is just amazing. for those who aren't into it in the beginning- give it a few episodes. got my jaw dropping and having to pause every few mins lolll
the scene where the speaker sounds start playing.. whew. tough watch. but also the intimacy of the moment when she asks him how he felt and they have that moment under the water- super well done!
