the character development in this drama is just. amazing. idk who the screenwriters and director are but WOW. props to them. I was just thinking about how in the first season Cang Xuan would use Xiao Yao to gain support from men in order to gain power. Now he has that power but he's upset she's close to those men. really interesting!
