well from the way he was speaking to her it seemed like they're already married. cause she was saying things like, "my mother told me to respect my husband." and she was trying to recruit Miss He as a concubine
this is such a classic chinese drama. the tropes, the amnesia plot, the second male lead, I love it. these are the types of dramas I grew up watching that made me really get into chinese dramas. but ahhh the misunderstandingss. the anticipation really makes me anxious. like ziyu is being manipulated by his maid, and still doesn't know she's lost her memory. and ofc ML continues with his fake identity ! looking forward to seeing how everything plays out
the character development in this drama is just. amazing. idk who the screenwriters and director are but WOW. props to them. I was just thinking about how in the first season Cang Xuan would use Xiao Yao to gain support from men in order to gain power. Now he has that power but he's upset she's close to those men. really interesting!
