and ahhhh the casual intimacy Ruyi and Ning have is unrivaledd. they act like a real couple. their movements when they touch each other are so natural. like when he's hugging her or holding her hands, or touching her in any way, his fingers move very naturally like how a couple would. it looks so intimate it's like I'm intruding in on them XD and the way he listens and comforts her is soo sweeett. also they're such a good looking pair every time they're on screen I just stare at them and take it all in. sometimes I struggle with how the male leads look so when they're on screen, I don't look too close, but LYN THIS mannn ahhhhhhh

I knowww, like the attraction just bleeds through the screen and it is SO enjoyable and exciting to watch. I honestly believe that every actor brings their own experiences and personality into a character, and you really see that with LSS and LYN!! in a reallyyy nice way. theyve created such a unique dynamic my standards for future cdrama couples are HIGH
one thing that really stands out to me about this drama is the sizzling chemistry between Ning and Ruyi. I know LYN views his age as a negative thing, but I think it's added this maturity in his character that's really attractive to watch. Ruyi and Ning have that really good tension between them- and their character dynamic plays into that as well. super sweet, loving, and the SPARKS are flying!! I can't help but compare it to other dramas where, with all respect to the dramas and the actors, everything just feels very forced/casual/just boring. or they have a cutesy relationship which can be fun to watch but I muchhh prefer this steaming hot, sizzling, mature dynamic Ning and Ruyi have!!

I have to respectfully disagree. I think that was a genuine act of betrayal on their part. By that point, she had done multiple things to prove her loyalty and was nothing but a subordinate that stuck by their side and helped them, as Ning pointed out. I wish they would have at least communicated themselves, but I understand where they're coming from. The whole thing was very heartbreaking because Ruyi had begun to trust them- only to have it broken.
I just take my time reading the comments when there are no episodes to watch. Scrolling through and liking everything bc we share a braincell hahahaha!! Also, we're more than halfway through the drama omg this is so sad
In episode 26 while Ruyi was meditating, she had an epiphany when Empress Zhaojie called her by the name of Ruyi....…
something similar! I thought it signified the empress accepting her new identity as Ruyi so she can now fully feel comfortable in herself and in her mission.
