I personally found it a bit dry and skipped until it got really interesting- which it did. before I knew it I was waiting desperately for the next episodes. if you like historical chinese romance dramas like lost you forever, story of kunning palace, my journey to you, you'll like this!

yes! definitely keep watching. personally, i skipped through the first few episodes because it was mainly focused on the subcharacters and other things i wasnt interested in. but trust me- it gets soo good and the story completely switches up once the main characters take over. so keep watching- you wont regret it!

yess! he's the opposite of the immature playful ML who isn't attractive and is just sort of stupid. LOL. I like how he and Ruyi are both strong and attractive- I really hate it when just because the FL is strong, they feel a need to make the ML the exact opposite of her.

I really like Liu Yuning's character here. In the Legend of Ren Anle, he really outshined Gong Jun, who was sort of immature and didn't have good chemistry with the FL.
LYN has such a strong screen presence- and he gives off this super cool and powerful vibe which I also see here.

I don't know what nonsense c-netizens are spouting but the ML role is perfect for him.

Such a fun drama... I actually really like Ning's jealousy. His character feels more developed and serious than the typical petty ML who gets jealous over small things.
