so watching until ep 8, main concept of the drama: cultural relic protection. i thought there's tomb raiding adventure here bcs of the mention of tombs but so far it seems that's only a minor plotline (but there's still like 28 eps to go so im not sure later). the drama is more focused on the above ground than under ground in tombs. we see how the relics are discovered and protected from the perspectives of the archaeologist leads, the police and government, and the grave robbery industry. we also get constant history lessons about the imperial tombs.
anw it's still interesting to watch and it got me curious after each episode ends. i read the synopsis but i still felt emotional when professor zan died 😭 just when fang kun started to warm up to him, he d-worded right after 😭
