also, Qian Hui Rou (and maybe also Qimeng) is really crazy that it reminded me of Wanning in The Double. they can be a psycho mother-daughter duo with their crazy acting and twisted mentality. they both even have tragic past experiences that shaped their current personalities. and because of that, they're both interesting to watch.

i watched this drama for the leads because i saw them in the spirealm (YZX) and different princess (ZYN) and this drama is surprisingly good! the story is simple and easy to follow. the acting and script are mostly exaggerated, and a lot of scenes are so ridiculous and hilarious, but it really fit the comedy genre of this drama 🤣 and when it got serious, the casts also got serious in their roles and scenes.

i really like it when Ye Zhaonan commands the court with confidence and power (i love her female monarch role!). and the leads are also smart in recognizing the schemes of their enemies and planning ahead to counterattack their enemies.

and ofc the romance!! so many sweet moments, words of affirmation and kisses!!

first time to watch hu yixuan and she's so pretty and so cute and i really like her smiles! it's been a while since i liked a cutesy, lively, innocent female lead. liu xueyi ofc i like that actor and his acting! his microexpressions are always exciting to watch. i'm laughing so hard at his tantrums and flustered looks. i'm happy to watch another drama with him, and he and hyx have good chemistry so far, sweet and funny. i'm also enjoying ao ruipeng here. i missed his mischievousness like his character lei wujie in TBOY.

so far, i'm having good vibes watching this drama until ep 10. but i see there's angst in ep 11, the emotional parts are really coming 🫣🫣 also, the editing looks natural, it felt like the shots filmed four years ago and the reshoots blend seamlessly. it's not awkward to watch the editing of fl scenes.

zhang xincheng the perfect fei du/pei su! fu xinbo the perfect luo wenzhou/weizhao! i waited for two years to finally watch scenes like the basement part! still so disturbing and heartbreaking like in the novel but zxc and fxb really did so well on that scene, acting is on point 👏 drama team also shot it so well - the camera angles, the atmosphere, the suspense, the red color palette - im so hooked to the screen 👏 the wait for this drama is truly worth it!

im very excited to see jun in a historical drama! with the male lead zhang yunlong and director yi jun 😌 still waiting for their wrap up materials tho, it's been more than a month since their wrap up and jun is already in s.korea..

i like her so much as a'zhi in The Glory!! she's so cute and adorable and smart 🥰 she even nailed the crying scene with yanzi. she's a good actress so i'm looking forward to her next roles!

episode 10 is so good it got me on chokehold 🔥🔥🔥 hanyan and chai jing, they're so fated to meet and protect each other 😭 🫂 hanyan and yunxi, the room felt so hot and the chemistry is too intense!! hanyan choking madam zhou like go girl i support you and all these insanity 👏 and now the story seems to unravel more secrets and changes. it's just dawning on me the reality of fu yunxi's illness and now i'm so scared at the ending 😭 idk if i can handle another dudu's ml dying again 😢

i also don't mind a widower, single father ml. maybe there's some mystery about what happened to be revealed later? idk. and i actually like seeing yunxi, hanyan, a'zhi together. they all look so cute in ep 4! i already love the "family dynamics" of this trio.

same here, i got scared too but i'm amazed at the same time. she has that power on her voice at eyes alone while being in a wheelchair. when she screamed at all of them, i got goosebumps all over. kinda exciting to anticipate what are her secrets and the hidden pains she endured to become like that.

i like these scheming fl and ml, they have interesting dynamics. they're both scheming against their enemies as well as against each other. chen duling and xin yunlai have such great chemistry since their first scene in ep 1. i love them already and how the story is going so far. hope they'll maintin this kind of vibes until the ending.
