ep 5: one of the depressing wedding i've watched 😭 i'm sad for xiaoqiao ofc bcs that's her beloved grandpa. but also for wei shao. he is devastated, that's the traitor he loathed since young but he hadn't had a chance to take revenge on, and he had to marry the granddaughter. so it's so painful to watch them get married in front of the wei family's tablets. and seeing the forlorn expressions of the generals 😭

and the whole episode is really depressing (plus xiaoqiao in the rain 😭) but the acting, script, cinematography really made the emotional scenes hit hard 🫂

"Jackie Chan Action Thriller ‘The Shadow’s Edge’ Sells To Multiple Territories"

Hong Kong-based Golden Network Asia has sold Jackie Chan action thriller The Shadow’s Edge to a string of territories, including Plaion Pictures for Germany, NK Contents for South Korea and Klockworx for Japan.

Currently in post-production, the film has also gone to SPI International for Eastern Europe, ATV for Turkey, Great Movies for Latin America, Shanghai Pictures for Malaysia, Prima Cinema for Indonesia, Shaw Renters for Singapore, Eagle International for Taiwan, Abnormal Studios for Cambodia & Myanmar and Izagur Media for Mongolia.

Negotiations are also underway for CIS, Ukraine, Benelux and other territories.

so far so good! the story is interesting, im really curious about the wei and qiao families. i like the leads so far, xiaoqiao is decisive and smart while wei shao seems harsh but it's obvious he cares for the people. so excited to see more of lyn and szr chemistry and dynamics 😌 also the cinematography and costumes are visually appealing! and im having fun watching the advisor and the four generals (liu yi hong!! tao ze!! he's also here omggg in bow and arrow and general's attire!!)

the story is politically intriguing but not too complicated to follow, maybe a bit confusing in some parts, and still remained interesting to watch. but maybe because of the script and editing, it's kinda to tedious to continue. i only finished this drama for xu zhenxuan, he looks so pretty here and he really did well for his first drama. i'd like to see him play a similar character like Jiang Juan again in full-length dramas if given the chance. the leads reminded me of ye zhao (oh my general) for the fl and wen kexing (word of honor) for the ml.
