YES that one wasn't terrible. Actually the leads had amazing chemistry too. If only it wasn't lowkey grooming/p*d* coded as a storyline. Like, i would have no problem with NORMAL romantic relationships. IE: if the adopting uncle had like sent her to live with his parents and barely knew her until she became an adult or something.

A similar story that just came out with Chen Jinghe as the lead has me disturbed for this reason exactly.

EXACTLY and i felt like this one didn't need the romance. like, it was enough that he was just in the story as her like one support person. it was NOT A ROMANCE.
