actually I have a question: in China (because obviously this is a Chinesse film) can you really get a marriage license by just filling the registry/certificate without even meet your spouse?

(I know some of the review said that you have to turn off your brain when watching this, and I agree. But , just itch to ask that question)

The stupidity rate is the same with vertical drama. Just with a bigger budget. I'm on episode 6 n already dissapointed. I can understand if a vertical drama have a plot like this, I watched them too, only for fun.

I just don't believe that a bigger scale drama would have a nonsense plot like this 😂

I read all the bad review but still try to give this a chance. And, yep, 6,5 just because I like Chinesse costume drama. The whole story's only about body swapping and pseudoincest between stepmom-stepson and stepsibling. No interesting plot. Just like a 'guest who' game (whose in who's body -is that the correct phrase?). Because they keep switching body then sleeping around with each other. The other comments are right, not worth watching, unless you're a big fan of Chinesse costum drama and already finished watching other high rating dramas.

Still on episode 5 and my heart ache... this gives Till The End Of The Moon vibes with Xiao Lin as the Devil God🤧🤧🤧 hopes the ending not as sad as TTEOTM 😖😖😖

Continue watch and Enjoy the series 😊 especially if you need closure for One and Only. it's HEA for the main leads.
The sad story for the present Prince Guangling (try to guess who he is in present life 😆) is my only regret for this series 🥲🥲🥲

Bad actually because it's quite sad story for him in the present life. Eventhough he's now a good guy, but he had his 'redemptions' towards the ML. But ofcourse, he didn't remember his past life (the movie didn't reveal this).
There's only 1 sentence from him that hinted something like this "Maybe I had owe him something in my previous life."

something about the bad guys always attract me (like DFQ and ADG), but sometimes seeing the good guys give the soothing feeling 😆 They all have the same calm demeanor and righteousness vibes.

By the way, the Yuan Qi I mean was the adult Yuan Qi from The Last Immortal played by Wang An Yu.

I'm on episode 20 jump to 24. I can tell that actually this is a different story line from one and only, but with a scattered 'memories' from the past (one and only).
This story not really a continuation of One and Only, and the purpose of the story is not for the 2 leads characters to regain their memory of the past.

You don't really need to watch One and Only to understand Forever and Ever plot. But if you watched, it could add more emotion (because you know what happend in the previous life) and you can understand the easter eggs about their characters, what they did, the similar hobby etc can bring our memories about what happend in One and Only. But the storyline is actually different.

The story line actually a kind of modern romance drama with modern families' conflict, bussiness rivalry, stepfamily, cousins fight, arranged marriage.

If you watched One and Only, you can linked the other characters in their past life into present life. But the movie didn't reveal that (I read that the government forbid storyline about reincarnation. perhaps because of that? I dunno). So it would be fine if you didn't know and just watched it casually. but if you know their previous life, like I said, it would add more emotion while watched.
I actually curious about who's reincarnated as who. I only find out a few in the discussion section in MDL web.

Overall, it's Still a good story, but not 10/10 for me. I just watched this as a redemption for One and Only. HEA for the leads. My only regret just for the second leads not having their happy ending.

The whole story actually about whole different things than the trailer/clip gave.I'm on episode 15 and still plan to continue to watch.. This is not really a story about red flag ML. He's not that red, only in 4 or 5 first episode.After that, the story change.And the FL isn't that weak like in the trailer.So if you didn't like ref flag ML, you might still want to give this a try. Endure "the red" only for the 4 or 5 first episode.But if you hope that this is about the angst and struggle between weak FL stuck in toxic relationship with a heavy red flag ML..you might be dissapoint...No.. this definitely not that..

yess.. I'm feeling sad about Fangyin too... She's a very loyal friend. I wished she n Lyu had their own happy ending.. I actually like the whole story..but somehow I think it would be more interesting to watch another romance building up from Fangyin-Lyu or YanLin-the Princess 🤧🤧

This is interesting enough and funny. The FL is not weak. She's smart and can strike back. The ML is cute and funny. I like this..so far.. the humor is kind of refreshing 😁
