You should check douban ratings then. The audience are quite notorious for giving low ratings. A rating of 6 is actually high. I wonder if this was produced 1st before Palace Shadows. The leads had ok chemistry and their acting leaves a lot to be desired here in Walk with You, but in Palace Shadows, LZH and ZX chemistry was sizzling and acting is so much better. I did like the ending here in Walk with You, PS had a funnier one.
I really had very high expectations for this one. I love TBOY a lot but I though the romance was the weakest plotline there, it actually wasn't needed. But compared to the romance here in DY, Xiao Se and Sikong Qian Luo feels like they had an epic romance.
And why do they keep cutting the fight scenes? They also have so many side stories, I can't connect with any character.
So, is Seo Yi Su (the monster child) still alive? They showed her screaming in pain, presumably she was revived.…
I think she's the one beside the green goo kid, she was wearing a white shirt and had long hair, but they didn't show her face, but they zoomed in the black line in her arm. The monster kid had that black line when her dad touched her in one scene, i think ep 6 or 7.
Edit: In ep 3, around 17 min mark, there was a line in her hand when the dad touched it. Ep 8, around 37 min mark.

She probably lives close to the hospital, so that's were SunJae was headed. In episode 1, when Sol found out he died, she's on a wheelchair to go to the hospital. I'm assuming it's only close by.
Edit: we've seen a lot of parallels in this show, so maybe they were showing this time, he was running towards her, but instead, they meet halfway, no more of those one sacrificing more than the other. Or maybe I'm just over thinking it.

You mean why 2008 or 2009? I saw an interview of the director or writer that they picked that time because a lot was happening in Korea. The Olympics, Korea won swimming and baseball. The eclipes also happened in 2009, hallyu wave (ex. boys over flower, girl's generation, superstar k1.) So basically, it was a good time to incorporate those real life events to the story, which would make it more interesting.

In the 1st ep, he was on anti depressants, and exhausted. It was easier to kill him by knocking him unconscious, and its safe to assume he was pushed of the balcony so he can just drown, making it look like suicide. In ep 9, history repeats itself, but this time Sunjae wasn't on medication. That's why he was able to fight back , you can also see the taxi guy had a cloth with chloroform, but Sunjae managed to avoid it, so the taxi guy used a knife instead.
how is all the ratings / reviews bad but the series overall rating is 9.1 ?
A lot of those who like LR usually don't leave reviews, like me. If I did a review, I'd just write best romcom, but then, it really wouldn't be a helpful review. Its already a very successful drama, so it says a lot about what people think about it.
They arent downvoting it, it;s mainly because when it hit 9.2 it wasnt a high percentage after the drama ended…
I saw comments here that they rated it low to compensate for the high ratings. I even saw a comment that they rated lower than he/she was suppose to bec they were annoyed with the fans.
