Ahhh~ you're totally right! How could I glaze over that, haha. I hope this is the case then--that maybe there are still some other undiscovered survivors. I'm really anticipating now; really intrigued to see the direction this story will unfold! :D

My guess is that everyone else is going to die on the island eventually lol and then the story will be told through her narrative via flashbacks (pretty dark tbh ;;)
LOL I remember watching this!
Wasn't this a special VCR for one of the year-end award shows or something...? Hahaha, can't remember D: It's been too long lol
These brief character descriptions were from months back, I'm sure they've been revised accordingly with all the new casting decisions (but I haven't been keeping as updated with news as I was previously lol ;; If anyone has a more updated link, please do share!) Just leaving this here for anyone interested! ^^
There's going to be script reading on the 14th with Jung Kyung Ho, Baek Jin Hee (the role has been given to her instead of Jung Yu Mi ;;), Chanyeol, and Lee Sun Bin!
Everyone says it's going to be bad just because it's an SM C&C production but I mean, Jealousy Incarnate is also SM C&C lol, and I like how that's turning out so far, so...
i said it once, but i'll say it again: HOMEGIRL, YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH A MANHWA CHARACTER! GET OVER IT, TBH honestly…
i can understand that point of view, but for me, because his world is still easily manipulated by a simple tablet, i just cannot agree, and i don't think he's as real of a person as yeon joo or her father is. not to mention, there's a whole "ending" his world is coming to, and that's because he's still, essentially, a mere manhwa character.
for me, i just can't sympathize with him. i think it's only logical that his time comes to an end, the same way the manhwa originally is supposed to. i think it's only fair that he stays in the world he originally comes from.
sorry if i'm not quite making sense, haha. i'm a little long-winded and this drama has got me feeling some type of way, clearly lol.

see, i would have agreed with you before, but it's never been addressed as to whether or not kang chul's world is indeed an alternate universe or merely a manhwa. so, until that question is explicitly addressed, to me, he simply isn't as much of a real person as yeon joo or her father is. he essentially exists because of her (or rather, her father--the person who took further steps to create and draw him), and that's not true love; he's simply an extension of her reality. he is a fantasy.
but, as i said in a previous reply to someone else, kang chul DID briefly mention something along the lines of this. he said he was just as real as yeon joo was, so-- let me copy and paste part of what i said:
"he mentions something about how he's just as much of a person as yeon joo is but... oh boy, i seriously hope he's right. it's going to be interesting how they're going to pull these final episodes off (assuming that there's going to be a conclusion to chul's statement, proving that his world isn't simply a manhwa, etc)"
edit: to elaborate further on my last point. choosing chul over her father = a real life in exchange for a fantasy. yeon joo and her father actually BELONG and are from the real world, while kang chul is not. kang chul was created BY them. in my opinion, in choosing to save him, she chooses her fantasy; bringing him to live in a world where he doesn't originally belong.
edit #2: TLDR, basically, i go by the stance of keeping each respective character to live on in the rightful worlds they belong in.

honestly though, yeon joo's and kang chul's (extremely non-)romance was futile from the very start. if it really comes down to it all--having to choose between the two--THEN SHE BEST BE CHOOSING HER DAD!!! if she chooses to give kang chul his ~happy ending~ over her own father then....... wELP! it's literally a real life in exchange for a mere fantasy she decided to fall in love with on her own. smh!
I'm the only one who dislikes the romance between the main leads? Everything is perfect about this drama, but…
yeah, i don't care for the romance between the leads either. i'm here going "GIRL BE SENSIBLE FOR ONCE. if it comes down to choosing, you better choose your dad!!! at the end of day, you's in love with a manhwa character! it was futile from the very start!!!111!!!!!!!"
After watching episode 14, I feel like this drama reached its peak a long, long time ago. The concept is still…
"creating arbitrary rules for each universe in order to conveniently suit their current needs" YES. my thoughts exactly!
adding onto that, i just... can't buy into kang chul's romance with yeon joo at all, because... he essentially exists for/because of her. that's not love at all, smh. i know i'm supposed to be rooting for them, but i only feel terrible for him instead.

***edit: do not watch if you are in the process of watching the series right now because there are some lowkey spoilers!
I hope this'll be fun to watch.
From "Gaia" to "Picnic" to "Missing9" lol

real talk tho, like, she's only a supporting character and barely in any scenes. she's hardly a hindrance to the drama for me, tbh.
