I love this scene. Not because it's ...y'know. but because of all the unspoken emotions (sadness, betrayal, love, and separation) that we could feel between them. It's very beautiful to watch.

If she'd been stronger in her love, SJ would have demanded that MY say that to her face directly, and not cowardly behind a wall.
If he'd been more understanding of her love for him, MY wouldn't have served that notice coldly like that.

Gods I hate (love) them both.

The divorce notice........ It's so heartbreaking for both, but that wall between them isn't just physically there, it's also figuratively there: they couldn't see each other's pain, couldn't understand each other's motives, couldn't read between the harsh lines being exchanged between them.

I really like this group of gods. I haven't watched a lot of xianxia, so I'm going by Micha's remarks that these group of gods are the most benevolent and useful. It's kinda unfortunate that of all the fairy tales that Clam King would tell to his daughter, it has to be THAT kind of story: where the main character sacrifices everything for something. Why can't it be a fairy tale where the good person gets what she wants and marries and lives happily ever after with the man of her dreams?😭
