The 'old' description IS too much🤣🤣 poor us nearing 40, and more so those who are 40+ already😆😆😆😆 If YYS gets that hate for being 40, what about us common mortals?🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes... and no. lol~if you want 'more' spoilers or to elaborate lmk :)
In the novel, I don't think he exists. The director of the sign language institute is supposed to be a guy who likes to call his coworkers "dear" and was the one who first made PSE jealous, so I think instead of this, the sunbae gets this role instead. So even we novel readers have no clue who he is.
A gentle reminder about actors being "the wrong age" for a character: actors are often assigned something called…
If I may.... In the defense of some commenters tho, it's not something against the actors but rather them imagining someone else in the roles. Kinda like reading the same book but imagining different images for the characters. Even tho the cast is set, but other actors take over the roles in their minds. It's not necessarily hate, but rather of personal preference only. Unless it is, then that's when we have to take up arms😅 if not then let's shrug it off and move on. For me it was interesting to see tho who else could take up the mantle of PSE and HHJ... Later, prob, when everything had cooled down and the drama is done, maybe we can pick up this thread and have healthy discussions on it. Whatchatink?
And you know, if that speech of PSE's at the parking lot was the last thing I'd hear from him, I'd be very worried Heeju-ya!😅😭 that really sounded like a goodbye!
=sigh= coz here I am again, replaying the last two eps for the nth time😅🤣 and dropping some thoughts about them:
In a way, PSE has his own selective mutism, just like HHJ. He had been kept quiet as to his real identity, just like HHJ was to appear pitiful in the sight of Chairman Hong, and being spokesperson is his answer to HHJ's sign language skills. Just like how HHJ got the courage to break free from her silence through the phone, he was also able to break free from his silence about his identity because of the threat to his dearest and most cherished wife. Their stories run parallel to each other, and this parallelism is clearly seen in that parking lot confrontation in ep8.
someone mentioned the age and I agree , especially in the father-son scenes, I mean, common, father? they look…

In the novel, there's a reason for that.🤣🤣🤣
But in REALITYYYYY?!??!?! Whh....whaaaaaaatttt?!?!?!
His age is appropriate for someone acting as a presidential spokesperson. 🙂
Blame it on CSB for looking soooo young🤣🤣 poor YYS🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm just joking. (I repeat, lest I be misunderstood again by others,I'm JOKING. I also have nothing against CSB.)
Yeah. This is just about differences of preference I think. I get you. Okay, thanks for indulging my curiosity😄
His age is appropriate for someone acting as a presidential spokesperson. 🙂
BWS? ermmmm he's too pretty!😆 he'd outshine CSB easily🤣🤣 sorry CSB.😅 Yeah beauty is truly subjective. While I also can't personally say YYS is as handsome as BWS😍 (sorry YYS🤣), he grows on me through his charm (--charm seems too cutesy for me, I'd really pick gravitas as my word for him). We'd really have someone else in mind even if we're watching the same drama, and that's ok. But what I appreciate in this drama is when I see YYS's eyebags clearly, without filter, because those little details at least make this drama closer to reality than it really is. Plus, his face is really expressive so it'll be a pity if it gets heavily edited or have heavy make up.
Oh well. I suppose we will never be in the same wavelength at all, and that's ok. Part of partaking the free speech we are accorded as a human being. Fair.
But calling someone a liar.....well. You're already judging me based on a nitpicking of my words without seeing the intention behind what I wrote, not to mention you don't know me personally to judge me like this. You only see the words on your screen, not the person behind the words.
When I said I got what you meant, I really did. Sure, at first I read it wrongly, but after seeing @sachapz's comment I understood. So I answered in kind. My humor isn't to your taste apparently, so ok. When you said I and the 6 users couldn't comprehend what you said, how sure were you? Just because I commented and they reacted? You judged us right then and there, and quite unfairly too. I can't apologize for anything because I didn't misinterpret you at all. When I replied that "all my comments are attacks" why did you take it literally? Did you not see that as exaggeration? Did you not see my "if"s? Did the "who cares?" part trigger you? That's why I added 🤣,not to laugh at you, it was never meant to laugh at YOU, but at the situation of turning this drama into a sexual game.
Ditto. Let's just ignore each other's comments moving forward from here, coz we'd never understand each other anyway. Think of me whatever you like. But then, our way of thinking about others speaks highly about who we are as a person.
Nope. He's avoiding talking about them. He didn't even react much when the nun pointed out there was another who…
🤣🤣🤣 Nononono I don't know everything🤣🤣🤣 I know something, but going by what the drama is showing, I'm not sure about anymore😆 I'll tell you this: you and @sachapz got some ideas about In-ah and mama Baek right😅 so let's just see if they play out in the drama😅 And.....erm, novelBSE isn't as wholesome as dramaBSE is, so...erm... brace yourself....?😅😅😅 the kiss in ep7 was just a candle light to the fires of Mordor--I mean the fires in the novel🤣🔞🥵🤣
His age is appropriate for someone acting as a presidential spokesperson. 🙂
And then this thought comes to mind: do we also not look 'old' whenever we get stressed, or troubled by something?😅 surely as presidential spokesperson BSE's life isn't that wonderful all the time😅 if this was based on the real SK president.....he'd look older than 40 due to stress🤣
His age is appropriate for someone acting as a presidential spokesperson. 🙂
Well, I'm not also asking about your favorites, I'm also asking in general who among the younger actors would you see in this role that fits your qualifications for BSE? I've seen your answer above anyway, that you don't have anybody else in mind, so the next questions are, how would the drama have been better if someone younger was cast? What instances did he not look quite right for the character? What vibe are we looking for, exactly? I'm asking too many questions, but I'm also just curious about the alternatives that you posed.
That old man is already dead at the start of the drama😅As for the kid.............. he's a kid. That's all…
Are you talking about our Saeon (to differentiate from the real Saeon who is the psychopath .... being drowned😅 confusing, I know.😆)? That's the trauma right there. He can't talk about what he saw to another person, that's why he's having nightmares of himself not being the one watching the other drown (which is what actually happened) , but being the one who gets drowned himself.
If YYS gets that hate for being 40, what about us common mortals?🤣🤣🤣🤣

It was just a typo.😅

Enjoy!😆
I think there are some links above in the discussions thread for the novel.
