And this should be the second season! I'd love to see the two dads get along together and the kids. Their scenes together are always such a joy. (Even if I know I'm a hopeful hopeless.)

Oh yes, Her father was quite supportive of him and their blossoming relationship. This should have been 40 episodes...

Finally finished watching all episodes and it has been a very enjoyable watch. I might have headache tomorrow…
My wild hope is for a second season of this, a bit like "Hotaru no Hikari" hahaha. But that was such a complete story, I have no qualm. And second Wang Chu Ran & Tan Jian Ci doing another project together.

I was actually okay with Jun Cheng and Dang Yu's storyline. I enjoyed the diversification, perspective and growth of their extended family. This series is definitely for all. Props to the writers.

What a great ending of a well-made comfort series!

2026 has introduced me to Wang Chu Ran and her two hilarious, wonderful series. Here is looking forward to more of her comedy/romance. Tan Jian Ci is perfect as Li Yi Fei. *Clapping and throwing flowers at the whole production. Thank you.

Hallo, it's been a while. If you're still interested in any of the topics regarding "The Long Ballad",…
I can definitely see that from his physique alone. I saw him in "Nirvana In Fire". He clearly has martial art training. Here is just his stature was... too slim for Shun. (I just saw a clip of Zhou Yi Ran being extra thin. I can see that across the board that's the trend, preference, thus standard imposed on Chinese actors, which is sad.)
I also saw some clips of his travel vlogs. He is one of the few outdoorsy actors in China, I believe.
Seems like you're Wu Lei's fan. Hope you're happy about the news that one of his drama is getting released soon.

Just want to give a shout out to Li Fei's father and uncle Jiang. I thoroughly enjoyed Li Fei's family's scenes and dynamics. Here's hoping for more.

has the drama gotten better? Because the first 2 ep were alittle dry but I suspected it would improve
For me: The first two episodes were a chore. Fortunately, it gets better thereafter, especially after all the exes were gone. I'm at episode 8-9, it's really fun.

I think WCR fits lively roles really well. I hope she does more of the comedy/romance genre in the future. This…
I agree. I really like her after "How Dare You". So, I tried "Are You The One" (quite the high scores here and Douban). Unfortunately, it wasn't the one for me. She was much more reserved in that series. (Or maybe I didn't tolerate it long enough to know.) The ML didn't do it for me either, unlike how I gradually come to appreciate Cheng Lei and Tan Jian Ci.
I'm glad "Love has Fireworks" got released this year or my Wang Chu Ran blue will be... pretty bad.

Sorry for barging in. I have watched "How Dare You" and liked it way too much. That series leads me to "Love has Fireworks" and Qian Fei here.

Same. I also thought: In real life, this isn't happening haha.

Well, it's fiction. Unless it really doesn't make sense, it looks down on viewers, it's poorly written, it's too much posey, cringy and cheesy... I don't think it's too much of a problem. Again, a balance of realism and fiction must be achieved.

Still hope you give it a chance (cause of the "might"). Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I enjoy reading them and your elaboration. I'm sure there are others who feel the same, to certain extents.

Actually, in real life, it might be even worse to absolutely disgusting and inhumane depending on the size of the corporate. Not just saying but case-and-pointing.

ML and FL's relationship is super cute, but after watching Ep 7 I think I might have to drop this bc I can't stand…
I see where you're coming from. Those tiny thoughts also popped up in my head. But following the story and the characters closely, I don't think those are the cases.

For Qian Fei, I think she's actually strong, hard-working. If you continue, you'll find her thinking, analysis and deduction closely in-line with Li Fei.
There's this bumbling nature in her characterisation, given she purposefully chose to work in the back end prior to her termination. I agree, this is the naive part of her wanting to get married and build a family. But after breaking up, getting laid off, she got her wake-up call. A bit of a reminder that she did well in schools, got Master's degree from a good uni. Bookish student can be a bit blur-blur in the real world. But their hard work and determination will help them once they set goals and put their mind into it. They fit the system. That's why they won't be discarded of that system, especially when they don't have anything tying them down.

I also agree that in the first few episodes, it feels more like that Li Fei rescues her (I mean, that coffee throwing scene). But honestly, the more I watch, the more I see them as being equal footing. Qian Fei helps Li Fei in a less visible way, caring about him and things others might overlook. It's not just the physical, but also mental, emotional, intellectual and so on.

I'm sure there'll be more of them being each other partner and supporter in the future. Also, I like forthright folk: If they need help, they ask for it; If they can help, they do it.

This series is doing quite well among Douban viewers, even though the official score isn't here yet. Regardless of the rating, we should just try, then decide for ourselves.

If you enjoy this WCR, consider checking out "How Dare You" too. She's a joy to watch in both series.

Person Jerry Gong
Really liked him in "A Splendid Match" and was surprised to see him in "Love has Fireworks". What an impressive young actor. Hope to stumble upon him more.
