I agree. The writers are the most "in-demand" when it comes to the blame game of C-drama... What do you think of the speed of the case solving here? Personally, I understand what this drama is about. So, despite my opinion regarding it, I still follow. It's simple give-and-take.

I think, there's nothing wrong with being flawed. One can be flawed and still be able to rule (well, even). Don't be too immersed in the culture of cool-headed decision makers and leaders. Even in real life, it's their portrayal, not what really happens behind the closed door. Having feelings and emotions is important, even essential.
I don't think Cui Jin Bai has realised Bu Shu Lin is female yet. He is simply perplexed by the crown prince's words. But I do agree with several points you mentioned here. I think, many characters in this series can be categorised as "delulu". But I take it for a grain of salt because it's fictional and I'm well-aware it's just an escapee for me.

When I see "too much" (tbh, the Chinese fandoms and fan culture can be super toxic and absolutely foul, similar to others like Korean and Japanese that I know of), if I don't have anything proper to give or support, I just pass by. The less ones pay attention to negativity, the faster it dies down.
Episode 14 is tight. The intimidation-on-the-bed scene (followed by the medicine drinking then bowl throwing) is the first highlight of the main couple, for me. They finally bare it all, instead of hiding, guessing and saying empty words. I think, this scene is key to their relationship development and probably one of the deciding factors for the casting of Meng jie. Her stiffness is the perfect fit here. Delectable.
I quite enjoy the second couple and their increased screen time in episodes 14 and 15. They are unique enough, yet not overpowering. They compliment the main couple but also serve as refresher, once in a while when the main gets... too much (for me).
The cases are interesting, but get solved too quickly, which makes the power struggle flimsy and weak. My stance on the leads being OP remains. Perfect/no-fault characters are a bore. So the fast pacing helps. Props to the screen writers, directors and crew.

My "thank you" is to you because I was waiting for the new schedule. I just wish Chinese dramas have full calendars in the get-go... And the "terrible" is to Tencent, although I doubt they ever see or care haha.

Oh, if you do, I think you've probably read classics like "InuYasha", "Basara" and "Emma" already. Have you read "Bambi to Dhole" or "A Perfect Day For Love Letters", "You and I Are Polar Opposites", "The Ramparts of Ice", "Lady & Oldman"? This one is a little bit old school and under the radar: "Fukuyadou Honpo".
