I hate that Ye Xian whipped Gu Jin Chao, otherwise I would be rooting for Ye Xian to get the girl. I love Ci Sha but his character here feels so far like a non-entity (currently watching Chapter 15). It’s similar to how he was largely absent from the first half of the novel, but I was half-hoping that whatever was shitty in the novel would be corrected in the show. Instead the show added elements that are not good (like the aforementioned whipping scene). I can only shake my head, and continue to watch for Ren Min my baby dolll baby. 🥰
FL looks so much like Kim Jiwon. So pretty (except for the makeup being like a white face with an orange outline). I enjoyed this drama so much, like I just turned my brain off and I watched until 6 in the morning.

I went on a Gu Man drama/webnovel binge because I needed something to feed me between episodes. The character Zhuang Xu shares similarities with Yu Tu from You Are My Glory like being a finance bro, coming from a not-rich family, and most importantly, being insecure. Unfortunately for ZX, he let his insecurities get the better of him. Yu Tu’s insecurities almost cost him the girl, but ultimately he was able to work through his issues and humbled himself in front of the FL so he was able to save their love story.
