Wetv dramas are rarely on Netflix international ( west) . Youku on the other hand I think has a deal with Netflix.
Yeah, I'm kinda aware of that. But some of their popular costume dramas do manage to be taken by Netflix. Perhaps it depends on what drama Tencent decides on. Maybe this year, it was POJ. I'm hoping it'll be available later on, but it would have been actually nice if it's airing both on the platforms at the same time. Anyways ~
the screenwriter choosing to only portray the cannon events is doing good. I do miss some of the details (slice…
Indeed. There are things from the novel that can only apply in the novel so the drama can't adapt it to a tee, but I'm glad to know the flow of the story is following the novel so far.
When they were still filming this drama, I started reading the novel, and I finished, I think, mostly the first part of it, and now as I'm watching the drama, I went back and skimmed through the chapters I've read that covers the episodes, and I love how the dialogues in the novel are exactly the same in the drama.
While reading the novel before, I was picturing both Reba and Feiyu as the characters and how perfectly they fit the roles, which made me look forward to the drama more. Also, how Reba is literally He Simu, as she was described in the novel to have a mole in the corner of her eye. I forgot that one detail about her, so I agree with the director that Reba is born to play He Simu, no one else.
And another thing, I like how they actually adapted the important battles in the drama, screams expensive. Kudos to all people involved ~
I’m seeing mixed comments about this drama, is it disappointing? I was really looking forward to it, waiting…
I like it coz there's no unnecessary fillers/characters that take up too much screentime. Like, it's almost focused on the leads for the entire half of the drama. Ofc, there's some flaws here and there, but it's quite entertaining overall, esp. the chemistry between the leads ~
One of my biggest pet peeves is when the girl cooks a really bad tasting meal for the guyI can excuse all sorts…
There's this one single dish that, for some reason, whenever I cook it, I don't really taste it. I can only adjust the salt/seasoning once I've mixed it with my rice and eat it ~ 😅
There's something beautiful and poignant about He Yan telling her 10 secrets while she's literally wearing a mask, knowing the fact that she's been hiding under a different name/identity all her life 🥹
I really don't understand the releasing times lmao, I aint complaining about watching ep 17 already though
They changed the release time earlier, so it's 6:00 p.m. (China Time) now instead of the 8:00 and there's an advanced episode for SVIP, hence you get to watch Ep. 17.

Yeah, where is my own Dudu??? 😌
I'm trying not to cave in and watch Ep. 26 today. I wanna save it and watch it tomorrow along with the other episodes so I can savor it.
Okay, okay, Xiao Jue, you got some rizz right there.
for VIP, 13 and 14.
