I just started watching this drama. Can someone tell me what they like or dislike about the series without spoiling…
What I like - It's a slice of life story which tackles different things on a very personal level, that one can resonate with any of the characters depending on what you're dealing in life. What I don't like - That it's only 12 eps.
Hosu immediately measuring Miji's ring size when she hinted at it and then going and buying couple rings 🥹
“Today is a little better than yesterday Those todays promises tomorrow Tomorrow too is a little better than today, so let's definitely be together. How arrogant it is to promise tomorrow, when even I don't know today” -- Hosu (he needs to learn Miji's mantra so he wouldn't be saying this last part 🤧)
OST Part 6, Ep.10's ending song, will be released on June 29th at 12pm KST. Elaine (일레인) – Silence of the Night (나의 시간 어딘가) Here's the teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW5jB8kbMQc
I came upon a comment days ago on X about Miji's tiger dream and so I did some research. It says in some instances, in Korean culture, a tiger dream, esp. of a woman, can be interpreted as a conception dream, indicating a future son. So am I finally getting that MiHo baby? 🤭 And then I remembered, uri Miji and Hosu are both unemployed 😅
They must have cochlear implants over there right? Deafness is not the end of the world nowadays.
Precisely. I just think Hosu completely going deaf is for him to finally fully accept that part of him coz until now, he still think he's a burden to anyone (esp. to his mom). I know it'll hit him so hard but, for sure, he'll eventually embrace it. Miji wouldn't mind. That I'm certain. It's actually interesting how they'll show a couple where one has a disability and how they'd navigate their day to day life ~ I know that's where the sign language will play into.
they need to rap the Rosa story up quickly and give us more or Mirae and Sejin
Think it's pretty much done. She's never gonna sell the restaurant and whatever leverage the other party has is all down the drainage atp. And based on the preview for next ep, the company trying to buy it is gonna be investigated.
Hey guys, is this drama mainly about romance? I watched the first 2 eps when it first came out and then paused.…
I can categorize it as slice of life. There's romance, but it doesn't heavily focus on it. It's pretty much balance. It's very relatable as a child, as a mom, personal struggles on what you want to do in life, dealing with shortcomings, imperfections, there's so many things you can relate depending on what you are in life.
Ep. 10 made me cry again 🤧 That epilogue of Miji yapping about her dream to Hosu, there's something sad and poetic about it. What do you mean, Miji's voice will be the last voice Hosu will ever hear before his world turns into silence?
Since I've seen that certain post about Boyoung and Jinyoung learning sign language for the drama, I was already prepared for what would happen to Hosu, esp. since there've been hints from it since Ep. 2. And when he said this to Miji in Ep. 8, "Looking back now, I think it was like that every time. Whenever I started thinking about why life was so quiet, you would barge in loud as ever," I knew that was a foreshadowing. The silver lining is that Miji will be there for him, so his world will still be as "loud" as it was. As sad as his fate is, I think this is also a catalyst for him to finally embrace himself fully, that not being "whole" doesn't make him any less. There's Miji and his mom who will love him wholeheartedly ~
And I might be ahead of myself again, but I think we will actually see a MiHo wedding or marriage. The caller ID of the person who called Hosu at the end was named as 반지 (ring), so I think he bought a ring coz he looked quite excited as he answered it. And in episode 1, before Miji started narrating, she had a ring on her finger. Boyoung posted behind-the-scenes photos on her IG, and one of them was a pic of Miji, Hosu, and Rosa embracing together, and Jinyoung was wearing a ring there. And the outfits they're wearing haven't been seen in the released eps yet. https://x.com/ssom922/status/1936823154699386993 https://x.com/o3o_rookie/status/1936810769322271043

Reminds me of you have to love yourself first before you can love someone else.
Rosa and Sangwol's story can have its own drama, albeit it'll be a crying fest one.
