That is a question yet to be answered, along with all the other mysteries of the drama.
I still believe Gong Zi Yu's birth isn't as simple as just a bastard's son. The former SW seems to be grooming him at a young age to become a potential leader someday. i.e. putting Jin Fan by his side. If he isn't his real son, why go to such trouble? And even if he is, there might be a big reason as to why. It was indicated that the former SW also wrote something quite deceptive about the premature birth book Yuanzhi was reading in Ep. 9.
Can anyone explain more clearly about the Green Yellow and Red guard?
From what I understand, usually, there's only Yellow and Green, I believe. Acc. to Gong Zi Yu, Yellow are those who are in the Council of Elders and guards in the back hill. Green ones are those who are on the front hill. Gong Zi Shang mentioned before that Red Jade Guardians are more of legends, implying there are no Red Jade Guardians around the Gong family, which only means they could also be the strongest among all the guardians.
Aside from the beautiful shot underwater scene and the scene right after that between YWS and Zi Yu, Ep. 10 has…
- The Young Master Xue is actually the kid Zi Yu promised to take to see the outside world. - Zi Yu learns that his father has high hopes for him in the form of Jin Fan, who is a top-class guardian, placed to be by his side at such a young age. By learning these things, Zi Yu can finally realize that he deserves to be the Sword Wielder, long as he leaves the prejudice he had as a kid against his own family. His father clearly sees the potential in him, even Young Master Xue. And if I may include, the dead Elder Yue, as well. I would actually want to see a different Gong family under his leadership, perhaps a place where women are no longer caged like birds and fishes in the pond and men who no longer cower in the valley but will step up and protect it ~
He needed that motivation.
Ooh, that's nice. You can at least enjoy your bday as MJTY ends (:
Jin Fan, my loyal man π€§ I need a protection squad for all the good characters in this drama.

Tbh, someone needs to post a family tree for the Gong family coz we don't know how they all are related except for their lineages.
