I was thinking maybe if TZ and YY are two separate people, Yan Dan might have accepted TZ, albeit, ofc, TZ is a mortal and was about to become a leader of his sect and that she's a spirit. But the only difference is he's baring all his feelings to her, something she always wanted to hear but never got from YY. TZ was so willing to forego his past and just live in the present with her. He's a clean slate for her when it comes to love. That "But Yan Dan, I'm not him" is still ringing in my head. But, oh, well, unfortunately they are two of the same ~
Really love how Yan Dan will grow so far, from that naΓ―ve lotus fairy who's only wanting the love of YY, hating YY for 'choosing' the Three Realms over her, to helping him claim his position at whatever cost, which will show how she'll finally embrace him fully as a man with duties and responsibilities, but also a man who can still love her despite that. I may not like how she's hurting TZ right now for something he doesn't even know he's done, but I still understand the point where she's coming from ....... because that's where the growth on her part comes.

I believe the flashback of YY's parents would take about 1 episode, or 2 at most. I initially thought the demon king, Xuan Xiang's, story would stretch, acc. to the trailers, but it was just too short. I even think some of their scenes were cut.
