The very first tears I shed for this drama was when Ying Yuan falls from the roof with some roof tiles falling with him as well. Yan Dan calling his name (unaware he was there), picking a piece, and tearfully begging him to come back. The very first genuine tears she had for Ying Yuan. And the very first tear Ying Yuan shed for Yan Dan.
Lol.. the BTS of that emotional scene between Ying Yuan and Yan Dan when he was telling her to leave when the poison acted up again and she was hugging him is so funny (:
Also, Cheng Yi's voice in that scene is way better than the dubbed one.
I just wanna thank all the gods for bringing Yang Zi and Cheng Yi together in this drama. It really is a lot different when you have two actors with this caliber in acting especially when you're dealing with angstiness. Makes the watching more worthwhile. The visuals/chemistry is just a cherry on top ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

I just downloaded the app yesterday and paid for VIP. Had no choice. I even paid for the membership in their YT channel just the other day as well just to be screwed by Youku. The app really is so behind compared to the other apps for Cdramas. Since they've been promoting it, I hope they can fix those issues and improve it. It was even rated 3-point something out of 5 because it's not a really good app.

Could be. But still not sure about the sequence of it leading up to that cliff scene. From what I gathered is Yan Dan will sacrifice half her heart to cure Ying Yuan. He gets better. Mistakes Zhi Xi (?). Gives her that distance-keeping bracelet. Leaves Yan Dan heartbroken because of that. But in between those, they will also fall in love with each other. Then we have that cliff scene. Those are just points I know for now, but the sequence of it could be interchangeable.

Well, yes, it was already said in the initial episodes that deities can never fall in love. They have to practice love abstinence. Death is the punishment just like how Ying Yuan killed that former curator in the first episode, though he retained some of her primordial spirit (meaning she ain't entirely dead, but if she crosses the Night Forgetting River and start anew, she can love and live a new life).

Ofc, there's hesitation on Ying Yuan's part because, at this point, it's obvious they're already in love. But probably for that same reason, he needs to punish her himself for breaking the immortal rule.

When I first entered the Cdrama world, I was taken aback at how fans of both main leads of a drama that's airing going against each other coz that never happens in Kdramas, even Jdramas. Instead of supporting both the main leads, even when you're just a fan of one of them, it's different for them. Some even comment just to hate on a particular actor/actress for no apparent reason, just because they're a fan of another unrelated to the said actor/actress 😅
Usually, for Kdramas, the fight is mostly between main ML or second ML, like who's better and not.. haha.. it's mostly about shipping ~

So despite Yan Dan changing her voice, Ying Yuan still recognized her. So I guess things will go wrong after she gives him the cure then 'cause that's when he'll mistake Zhi Xi as her when he regains his sight.
But then I guess he would still remember her again and then that's where the romance will finally kick in along with the sacrifices and sufferings that come with it.
