Came here on this page again to see if there's any new updates... anything. I just wanna be assured that we will see Season 2 soon officially. Still no news of a booting ceremony or what.

I think it also depends on the platform it's gonna air from. Others release trailers even while it's currently filming and they even release wrap-up vids. Since A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College is also Tencent, maybe that's why there's not a new trailer of this one yet. Could also be a case-by-case basis.

But, how different is Tang Zhou's personality though from Ying Yuan?

And if you don't mind, could you also give me reasons why Ying Yuan or even Tang Zhou doesn't deserve Yan Dan even though he loves her?

No wonder. I would also choose the SML if it were me. I'm a sucker for second leads that deserve the FL more than the ML. I wonder how much was changed from the original novel. It looks like Yan Dan would still commit suicide though, so that follows the original. And from the trailers/MV, I gather Yan Dan would love Tang Zhou as well, so perhaps that could be one change in the drama. But who knows, I need another proper trailer .. haha.

I don't think I'd be rooting for Yu Mo in the drama though, because, come on, Yang Zi and Cheng Yi are sizzling together just from those scenes released ԅ(≖‿≖ԅ) So I hope Ying Yuan/Tang Zhou wouldn't be too much of an a** in the drama ~

Hmm... perhaps some of the dramas that aired last year got approved and licensed already before the rule was enforced. So there could be an exception there.

Oh, was about to ask that also since I saw from Who Rules the World that it got reduced. I'm hoping they know of it as WRTW filmed earlier last year. I don't really want to see the story getting compromised just because they had to decrease the eps (as it had happened to some dramas).

That is true, but maybe Yu Mo would be a little different in the drama and has a little screen time as well so it's only right that Cheng Yi is still Ying Yuan. Maybe Yan Dan won't fall for Yu Mo.

How hateful is Ying Yuan in the novel, though? I'm curious. Is he an a*****e?

Oh, so is that how it is. Once an OST is released, meaning it's nearing its completion. I didn't know that. Hopefully, the approval and license go smoothly.

So did Yumo (in the novel) get more screen time then in the latter part? Or it's just him being the endgame. Because I know people always confused things about MLs. Like there are some dramas that the "ML" isn't necessarily the love interest. Most people just associate the word ML to someone that a FL ends up with, which is not always true.

I was a bit confused by that, when you said the SL becomes the ML in this drama since I was aware they changed the story from the novel. Wasn't Yu Mo the SL, and Ying Yuan is reincarnated as Tang Zhou, so like how come Cheng Yi's character is both ML and SL? Did I understand that correctly? XD I remember reading the same comment saying that before and I just realized it now that that's a bit confusing to me.. LOL... I only know tidbits from the novel so maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Youku also has Cheng Yi's South Wind Knows My Mood drama. So I wonder if that'll be released ahead before we get to see Immortal Samsara since it's been almost a year now since the first trailer of that one was released. Idk how Youku does their dramas... like do they follow the dramas in order or as long as it's done with post prod and passed censorships or what.
