I think I am also one of those who love the angst in this drama.. indeed, it was sad but I like that even the politics aspect of it was incorporated, it was very minimal because the show still focuses on our main leads. Yeah, I miss all the fun and the comedy but if it's all comedy, then what could be the point of the drama be? We need to at least spice it up.
Ofc it does frustrate me as well that just this little misunderstanding on DJ's part is what drove her to end it with ND, however am glad it wasn't stretched out to how many episodes of them being apart. I can see them finally reuniting on the next episode now that the truth is out, DJ just needs to know the full truth about ND not wanted by his own father. Communication is the key to every relationship, after all. But if I put myself in both ND and DJ's shoes, I think I have a better understanding from their point of view. Would you actually tell your partner you're planning to kill the King? Or tell him/her you are actually the King's child? It may be easy looking at it from the drama's perspective, but IRL, I wonder if we would be like them as well or probably choose a different thing?

Yes, you're right about that. I actually don't get his reasoning at all. I think he's not mentally stable at this point because of the guilt and fear that is hunting him for almost two decades. Who would be sane after all that, right? So he doesn't care about having a crown prince or whatever at this point, he just wants the throne by himself and die as a king. That's what I understood. He's just being selfish and coward.

It's almost like he basically just wants the throne for himself... his greed. He said himself that he doesn't need any love from any relative just to protect his throne.
