For quite some time I did not get why there is so much hate for Go Ahra but then when I truly thought about it,…
I like her as a person. And I also noticed her acting in dramas that I believe people have pointed out..particularly in Hwarang. I didn't actually finish that. However, I like her too in You're All Surrounded and in Ms. Hammurabi. And most especially, this one, her character here is the best thus far, I think it has something to do with the script or type of character she usually gets. She's bad ass here, and what more can one ask if the female lead is strong, intelligent, clever, smart, beautiful and of course, one who can fight^^. I hope her character remains that way. She's quite oblivious too when it comes to men (doesn't understand why men feels uncomfortable calling her little sister^^). I just think she needs to really select dramas that would suit her more and would do her justice. That way, she can probably showcase her acting skills.
Is there romance in this drama?? I only enjoy dramas with romance.
According to the relationship chart, there is between Jung Il-Woo and Go Ara's characters. I believe it wouldn't be the main focal point, though. With 8 episodes out, no visible signs or hints of it yet except those subtle and almost unnoticeable flirting that Prince Yeoning does towards Yeo Ji ^~^
I'm glad^^. I'll just have to wait till all episodes are out and then bingewatch it, waiting is painful since this only airs once a week..I've watched until episode 4 ^~^
Wow, the set looks good! And this doesn't really seem like a sageuk drama? It has more of a tribal feel, which…
Ikr! When I first saw the video, it made sense why they said the whole set took months to finish because this is not your typical Kdrama. I think this is the first of this kind. Such great production team doing this so there's no doubt it'll be good.
Someone replied to me in YT that the director is not satisfied with the scenes, she wants to make it perfect. So the special effects team are making efforts to modify them. A guy who participated in the post production work said that the story is worth waiting. That person also just updated me that the director posted on her Weibo writing, "Eventually finished the work". So I guess we can finally see this drama this year, hopefully first half, because second half of the year is still too long. We've waited long enough so I guess it's gonna be worth the wait^-^
Sooo waiting for this...I just wish they drop an air date already -_-....my patience is being tested with all the dramas pending...no air dates and all...soo frustrating.
"Considerably less attractive man"........okay, sure. ????
I think this synopsis from the recent article of Soompi is more accurate.^^
“Abyss” is a new fantasy romance drama about a magical marble that has the power to reincarnate the souls of the dead as entirely different people. Ahn Hyo Seop will star as Cha Min, the highly intelligent heir to Korea’s top cosmetics company. Although he has both brains and wealth, he has always been insecure about his looks. However, after the mysterious marble named “Abyss” falls into his hands, he ends up reincarnated as the stunningly handsome administrator of a law firm.
Cha Min also ends up using the marble to reincarnate Go Se Yeon, a tough, accomplished, and beautiful female prosecutor who suffers a fatal accident (played by Park Bo Young). After she finds herself mysteriously brought back to life as an attorney at a law firm with an entirely new face, she sets out to uncover the secret behind her reincarnation.
Is there Romance !! Otherwise I would have to pass on this.
I think so, basing from the character relationship chart. But I don't think it'll be the main focus of the drama. After watching the episodes that are out, there's not quite emphasis on it yet.
Agree! I'm currently watching About is Love when I also saw this with the same female lead and it seems interesting. I hope someone with a good heart picks this up and sub it in English...such struggles of intl viewers...I just wish I understand Chinese ^~^☆☆☆
it's confirmed! he's the lead this time :Dhttps://www.soompi.com/article/1302755wpp/ahn-hyo-seop-confirmed-to-star-opposite-park-bo-young-in-new-tvn-fantasy-romance
I was about to comment as well...ha ha..finally. Hope we can have the air date sooner.
I believe it's gonna be divided again so 30 mins each episode.
Yeah, it's quite longer than your typical 16 eps or at max even 20. We'll just have to see if it ain't too draggy. I've watched 24-episode Kdramas before so I actually think it depends on the story.
Okay, after watching episode 1, am totally hooked. I thought it would be pretty dark but even the ending songs/credits tells me otherwise^^. I just thought the reveal of sensei not killing anyone was too early though, it makes the suspense more thrilling but anyways, I'm looking forward to what happens. Suda and Mei are always amazing, I never doubted Suda since I've been watching him from a supporting character, usually a student, and now being a teacher himself, he always delivers his roles effectively. And Mei, at a young age, one of the rising actresses in her generation. They can pull off their characters really well. Kudos! Always reminds me why Jdrama is always my first love, they don't really need to rely on romance to make a good drama^~^
