Exactly. Maybe the writer had some experience, albeit not just as a main screenwriter, so this drama is like her very first officially. She prolly took note of all the dramas out there. But this writing is definitely a great example of enemies-to-lovers coz they actually hate each other in some instances. Yeah, the casting of both PSH and KJY perfectly fits the writer's characters in mind ~

You got FL stabbing the ML, ML constantly suspicious of the FL and thus chasing her everywhere, the hide and seek, the push and pull, ML and FL literally fighting each other, ML handcuffing the FL. They all serve it on a plate ~
Also, I don't say it enough but KJY's expressive eyes are well-suited for melo and romance. You can literally know what he's feeling as Da On just with those puppy eyes.
I always wonder if Justitia is somehow connected to Da On's emotions. I know there were two instances now where she somehow felt that empathy looking at the victims' families but it's a bit different with Da On. If anything, Da On is always there when it happens. Like in that last scene of Ep. 8, he's already crying but she didn't start crying herself until she turned her back on him after saying, "That promise, make sure to keep it." It seems there's more to these human emotions for demons.

Yes, they are very similar. Only difference is Da On has his anchor, his adopted family who helped him get through his tragedy. And what's gonna happen if harm comes their way? I don't think Da On will just stay put.
