Unsurprisingly, GeminiFourth are doing another high school BL. Why not for GMMTV to make bank a ship that’s…
Well, gmmtv is a company and they're after the money lol G4 got so popular, more than anyone expected. And since the drama that made them huge was MSP, of course they'd want to replicate the phenomenon.
Fourth has shown a better range in acting with his characters, but Gem is really good at microexpressions. And I don't think it's a "disservice" to anyone to get cast in BL dramas, and also, this is the bread and butter of the company and the whole thai drama industry. Usually, non-BL dramas don't do as well (F4 Thailand being an exception). Just because an actor always does BL, doesn't mean they can't do different types of characters. As a fan of the manga this is based on, I can tell you, Fourth will have a lot to work on, he won't just be a silly boy running around and doing physical comedy. He will have to deal with homophobia, coming out as bi and plenty of other stuff.
As for the vibe of their previous dramas, of course it was different. MSP was a romcom while MC was heavy on the drama, touched on more serious topics and had a slice-of-life feel to it.
will GMMTV give us the kiss that the OG series didn't ?
fingers crossed!!! GemFourth have kissed in their dramas before, so there's no reason not to do it this time around lol also, the first kiss of Ida and Aoki in the manga is really cute and romantic, I'm hoping they do it like that in this drama
Gemini had his chance at being silly and over the top in OurSkyy2 and honestly I didn't like it. It wasn't a bad…
First of all, I wasn't attacking you on my first comment, I was just engaging in friendly debate, sorry if it looked otherwise... and second of all, and again, I think Gem as Ida and Fourth as Aoki is the best fit.
Gem is better at microexpressions, needed here to showcase everything his character won't say since he's so quiet and reserved. I do believe Fourth is better at doing physical comedy while looking cute, the best way to embody Aoki, but yes, I agree with you, Gun is, on paper, a very similar character to Aoki. Is up to Fourth to show us the difference.
Casting done in reverse would've posed a OurSkyy2 situation, and I just don't think that works, no matter the number of workshops involved.
uhm I read the manga and saw the japanese drama and not even once thought of Ida as cold, unapproachable or anti…
nooo, don't worry! i guess i misunderstood you, and I just needed to defend my boy Ida lol because I adore the guy and don't think he's a cold person. Just out of curiosity, have you seen Gemini's acting in Moonlight Chicken? His character there resembled Ida a little bit more than Tinn in MSP. Based on that, I think he will do a good job being a quiet guy. And I agree with you, Fourth is great! But I think Fourth's talent is in his eyes and Gemini's in his microexpressions. They're equally talented imo, we just have seen Fourth in a wider range of roles.
I see, Gmm only gives g4 great story. I don't worry about 4th bcs Aoki's character is not that far from Gun and…
uhm I read the manga and saw the japanese drama and not even once thought of Ida as cold, unapproachable or anti social. He was quiet and introverted, but he had lots of friends (i.e. the whole volleyball team). The catch here is that he had trouble understanding his feelings and how to recognize he was in love, which always gave me demi sexual vibes. Is that part what could be the most challenging to Gem, but otherwise, I think he can do it. Also, Ida is kind. A person like Aoki would have never fallen for someone that wasn't. Gem will do the character justice.
I think I'd have honestly rathered Gemini be casted in Aoki's role and Fourth in Ida's role. I personally think…
Gemini had his chance at being silly and over the top in OurSkyy2 and honestly I didn't like it. It wasn't a bad acting, but I actually think he suits more the quiet and reserved type of character. He has very expresive eyes, and we'd seen how good he is at conveying emotions without words in Moonlight Chicken. Have a bit more faith in him :) As for Fourth playing Ida... i just cannot see it, it wouldn't feel right, but that's just me.
Well lucky for you, they apparently have a second series coming in 2024 that I'm assuming will be in the second…
hmmm I actually think this series came when GMMTV saw how big they were getting and pulled them from 23.5 in consequence to have them lead a drama instead of being the second couple. I don't think they had another series in mind before, since they were busy with all the concerts and fanmeets and stuff. i can only hope they get their well deserve rest! i simply do not understand how those kids have the time to act, rehearse for concerts and fanmeets, on top of going to uni. it's crazy

Gemini said in an interview that they only have this one project coming up for next year. Sure, that can change, but with the way that company over works them, I'd say it's not likely. They'd probably go on another tour of fanmeetings and concerts after this drama.
Here I was expecting an original script like Moonlight Chicken for GeminiFourth but we get another Japanese remake…
the pilot trailer is suppossed to represent a little bit of the of the plot just to introduce the story to the fans. A lot will probably change by the time they start filming for real, like characters' personalities and even their style all down to the hair. You shouldn't judge their acting and performance based on these few minutes. for perspective, check out the MSP pilot trailer (in case you haven't), it looked A LOT different than what the actual drama ended up being. I actually think this story suits G4 given their age, they're still young to do mature content dramas.
i was wary of this at first (i wanted a series for G4 that didn't have a previous adaptation, especially one that's so well loved) but after thinking about it, I'm actually super excited. If there is a story that's well suited to their talents, age and personalities, it's this one. I'm ready to go on another high school love story with G4 and to re-live this one with them. hoping Chukon and Pahn are up to their level, because if they aren't the story is not gonna work, even if G4 work their magic. At the heart of it, this is a story about four friends and their very funny mixup.
well, on the bright side, this will make anle/ziyuan finally realize how much he loves her and all the sacrifices he's made for her. After this, there's their happy ending
well, it really depends how they tell the story in the drama, as it's a bit different from the novel now. But yeah, in the novel, he knew there was a big chance of him not coming back alive and he wrote that letter as his final goodbye to her.

DZY only knew after Han Ye fell off the cliff during the war battle... It was Wen Shou who shouted out to her…
WenShuo was very conflicted when he found out his real identity, because he didn't remember anything from the past and grew up without any worries or pain, raised by HanYe, and no different from a prince. He only knew about the Di family as traitors, like everybody else. It was a shock for him to learn the truth and he even stopped calling Anle "sister" afterwards as he felt he didn't have the right to. Only when HanYe jumped off the cliff and saw his sister was ready to die and jump after him, did he tell her the truth.
New trailer released by Youku!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVm9lQBiU6o I'm screaming!!! it has the legendary HanYe's letter from the novel!!! I'm gonna cry!!! these next eps are gonna HURT
Just finished ep 25 - alas she reclaims her identity! Ngl I felt a little underwhelmed when she casually revealed…
imo it was underwhelming in the novel as well hehe maybe just a little more dramatic since Anle wears a mask and she took it off, but yeah, overall, the reveal goes just as in the drama.
People think that Crown Prince is dumb but they are showing their stupidity. We are seeing story from Anle's point…
I understand where Anle is coming from, because like you said, we have been with her since the start. But not many are willing to understand HanYe and it shows. He's been this careful from the first ep. Plus, this is his family. Just as Anle is not backing down because her family was wrongfully accused, HanYe too, doesn't want to believe his family framed hers.
