I wasn't interested in watching this show but I saw your question so I took a quick look.
That's a literary Thai language used only for translating Chinese historical novels. International viewers might be more familiar with this kind of language if there are more historical BL series.

It's been three years with hundreds of BL series released, but I still haven't come across any BL series that meet this standard in terms of cinematography, production, cast, and meaningful story lines (+beautiful and iconic soundtrack). Even GMMTV can't surpass its own bar set in this show. Also, among the most popular BL series, ATOTS is an all-time masterpiece I always recommend to those who want to start watching BL and of course it never fails to impress them.

As a grown up woman living adult life, I found this show is so relevant. It’s the greatest slow burn ever and one of few bls where I think every single cast did their job very well.

Who said this is a comedy for Thai audience? I haven’t seen anybody outside dmd stans watch this show and they don’t even enjoy it that’s why it flopped so hard. Thai bl watchers have a plenty of much better choices now. If dmd decides not to improve their execution for their upcoming series, the label will go to hell soon.

I was shocked at Uea’s reaction to the surprise too. He is abusive and also so mean to his partner, especially in front of others around the office. Their relationship is nothing but becomes toxic. They are not Uea ang Kind I know from Bed Friend 🥲

The director even said that while filming Bed Friend, Net and James asked him A LOT to get into the character, indicating that it kinda bothered him and it wasn’t his ‘style’ of working. No wonder why his works are always bad.

I agree. Bed Friend still has room for improvement, but if compared to Middleman's Love, it's a masterpiece.

They are all out of character like completely different characters from Bed Friend. Jade is over the top. Uea becomes abusive and King is just a lapdog. It's a silly mess and that's why we're complaining. DMD ignored to improve its execution and made something unexpectedly much worse than Bed Friend instead. NC stuff won't save the show if the next episode continues like this.

Yeah, no hate here at all but just a massive disappointment I guess. I had been anticipating this show and hoping they would fix what lacking in Bed Friend and give us an improved version of KingUea. Never expected it would turn out this bad. It’s kinda shocking tbh. DMD huge fanbase unable to save the show like they used to, says a lot.

Thai audience tend to tone down their negative comments on the show because the actors may easily see and take bad feedback too personally while those who dislike it will just stop watching. Believe me DMD crew aren't even aware of how incompetent they are and how bad their works have been lately and not even better than those of very low-budget companies. I'm dying to translate the comments here and send to them just in case it could shut down their ego.

Agree. KingUea relationship dynamics here are so sick. Why did they make Uea become abusive himself after getting through a lot of domestic violence? They should’ve had potential to save the show, but end up being a silly couple like the other characters.

I’m here for KingUea and DMD did them even dirtier than in Bed Friend. KingUea relationship is supposed to be mature, healthy, and respecful while in Middleman’s Love, it’s like a totally different couple. Their scenes were lazily written for sure. What even worse is that I have no clue wft I was watching, like wtf is happening in the entire episode. It’s confusing and plotless to the point where I consider this is DMD’s worst execution ever even though their previous shows are never decent already. I mean, at least their previous shows are not this confusing or you still understand what happens there, but not this show. Not gonna surprised if the rating goes lower than 6.5, which is super embarassing for a so-called high-budget company. With low expectation, but still extremely disappointed.

I mean in Thai language, the dialogues in Dinosaur Love are much more stilted and unnatural than those in Check Out, (but agree both are nonsensical lol). Thai native speakers, especially young generation, never speak that way in everyday life. Even very simple conversations sound really weird. The screenwriters did nothing but ruined the whole show.

The kisses are too rough and unnatural to the extent where I feel very uncomfortable as it looks like an SA scene.

It's a waste of money for a trip to Chiang Mai. It doesn’t help with their zero chemistry. The bridge scene looks poorly improvised and just hightlights their discomfort being around each other. The baggage weight thing is super nonsense because you can buy extra weight online or at the airport. A very rich Dino should already know that. I’m convinced they have zero idea how they should be acting as a couple.

Yeah, from the way he either stares blankly or avoids eye contact with a constant forced smile. He'd become the greatest BL actor if the ending reveals that Rak is a character with communication difficulties.

Tbh, at first I thought Rak was a special child or something and surprisingly I wasn’t the only one who thought like that. His acting is just bad as such. Not sure either why they decided to make this series. One of the directors even said they expected it to be successful…they thought BL watchers were that dumb 🤡

I guess what's really fun about this series is that it never gets tired of showing us cringey or pointless stuff. That’s why we all here complain every episode but always come back for a new one lol

And second chance should be given with a different acting coach and director 😂
