I've never watched UWMA, but in Rak's case, he looks scared and very uncomfortable all the time like Dino is just an acquaintance he's not close to even when they're dating. Rak is smiling while his eyes and body language are screaming “Pls get me out of here” throughout the show. Maybe he wasn't scared of Dino, but rather scared of forgetting his lines.

They're obviously uncomfortable around each other. Rak always looks scared of Dino rather than getting shy or blushing.

You're right. Their dating in ep7 is more awkward than the first date of those who meet each other from dating app lol. It's not just their acting that's bad, but I feel like the main actors don't even want to be in the show and want each of their scenes to end quickly.

No worries. Some Thai watchers even said you need to remove your whole brain watching this show. I almost dropped it but decided to keep watching just to see how absurd this series could be 🤣

Me too! You can write a better script even with low budget. I also have high tolerance for poor acting. Most BL actors are newbie but many of them manage to deliver ‘okay’ acting like Remember Me, where I can see their genuine effort to make a good series with highly potential actors. Meanwhile, everything in Dinosaur Rak is like their first draft, from the script to the casts, and so rough to the extent where I think they are just lazy to make a solid plan before producing this show.

One of the director even said they have high expectation for this show like it was supposed to get much better feedback than their previous two shows. I just… ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!???? The novel is somehow popular, so they seem to think any BL series presenting two guys flirting and making out with each other even with zero chemistry, poor screenwriting, and super horrible acting in every single scene will be successful anyway. Okay, many popular BL series are horrible, but I can say this show has hit a new low in all aspects.

Dino is overly possessive to the point that he accidentally hurts Rak. Worse than that if you understand Thai, he uses a lot of sexually harassing words hinting he would r*pe Rak and want to have sex with him. Being a SOTUS leader using unauthorized power over younger ones also represents his obsession with seniority system. He even kisses Rak and taking him someplace without asking for consent. These red flags are leading to heavily toxic relationship for sure.

Agree. Not to mention that many times Dino uses sexually harassing words, for example, he said to Rak he would “force myself on you” which in Thai means taking him to r*pe. As a Thai girl, I got shocked when I heard this word in the first ep. It’s not just a reg flag, but crime. Dino is really toxic like overly possessive, stalking, controlling, and being a SOTUS leader in Thai uni for whatever reason is also a very red flag of him. Never understand why the screenwriters found this character romantic. It’s like they are trying to put all the red flags in one character. At this point if Dino fell for someone who is not as dumb as Rak, he would definitely go to jail.

Femme boys (ladyboys or Krathoey in Thai) and trans are really everywhere in Thailand. I even have over ten feminine gay friends and a few trans friends. I haven't met any Thai who has no ladyboy or gay friends as it's not possible to go Thai school without seeing them as your classmates. They are more common here than foreigners are aware.
