Seriously. Because of the 2gether mess, I kept worrying if Bad Buddy was gonna turn into something like it as well but I'm so glad it held its consistency till the end. I hope GMMTV will continue to produce genuinely good BL series like this from now on.

JTBC is so busy handling all the controversies with snowdrop, that they forgot to promote their other currently airing shows lmao. I'd say this drama had total bad luck airing at the same time as snowdrop.

The korean law is seriously effed up. So, a p*dophile actor gets to come back to playing main roles like it's nothing while an idol smoking weed ends up in prison for 3+ years? Not just this-- but even a couple who literally killed a baby got only 5 years sentence...

I actually disliked the first episode due to its weird pacing and as a pilot, it just didn't grab my attention the way I'd expected it to regarding the cool trailer. I also had intended to drop it and maybe watch it next year when I'm bored, but then I decided to go for the second episode and it was such a delightful improvement from episode one! The pacing has gotten a lot better, the story is getting more and more interesting. As for the romance part, I never doubted the chemistry because I've seen and gushed over OffGun before in 'Theory of Love'. Their romance is good, but my favorite parts so far has to be Yok and UNAR's scenes. Like, goodness, their 5-6 minute screen time is enough to excite me all the way for their development. I petition for more scenes of them, please! Anyways, I'm just glad that I continued because it's a very good show with a visually striking cinematography and an interesting plot. The music's really nice too, suits the tone a lot.

This is a saguek, aka historical/period drama. Korea has a lot of historical dramas where all characters wear hanboks. They don’t cancel historical shows obviously, only Joseon Exorcist (a historical drama) got cancelled due to historical inaccuracies and due to potraying important historical figures negatively.

There’s another historical BL drama which fully aired on Viki, in case you think this might get cancelled for being a BL.

She was barely dependent on the ML and yes, she does solve her issues herself. She's a very well-written FL. Mentally strong and smart, unlike how most K-dramas believe a 'strong' FL should be violent, aggressive and hate men.
