The year hasn't ended yet, but Penthouse Season 3 has already been confirmed as the biggest disappointment of the year. For a show that shaped up to be 'iconic' among the industry with its first 2 seasons, none of us expected the final season to be so horrible with only 2 episodes. Not only did they mock an entire race and their culture without having the smallest bit of consideration that the show is actually famous globally now, but the plot has also turned extremely repetitive, uninspired and pathetic. The show would've done itself such a huge favor if they ended things in season 2, with Logan Lee having a tragic ending but the assholes in Penthouse ending up in jail with their kids suffering on their own, without introducing all the new characters at the last episode of s2. I feel that it would have been an easy task to wrap things up in the last episode without having too many plot holes. But at least we wouldn't have gotten this dumpster fire now, which successfully tainted the entire show's reputation.
What a good drama so far! I'm disappointed at how underrated this is though. Def needs to be at 8.7 considering this is an ongoing Korean drama. The main leads are right up my alley, with their unique characters that made me realize how I just love shows that don't have cliche moral characters all the time. Hope it continues to stay interesting~
Could've been on the arm, or the torso, but a butterfly on the back of the neck? Not trying to tattoo-shame, but it looks like he belongs to a mafia, or he's a supernatural entity.
It's so hilarious to think that before this aired, I thought it was going to be a simple cute cohabitation rom-com. I'm sure everyone thought the same too. But seriously, a plot of dead ML resurrecting for 49 days? The FL saying that she likes both ML and SML at the same time? Man, here I thought fanfics in Wattpad was the worst in writing but this screenwriter sure did break the stereotype! I can definitely say that it'll be hard to top this drama for the achievement of the 'Worst K-Drama of 2021'. Breaks my heart to see such good acting and chemistry between the main actors get wasted like this too.
I just watched two episodes skipping through everything besides the main couple's scenes because they got the sort of chemistry/tension that I was looking for. The other character scenes I gotta admit are very boring and don't even get me started on the super cringey comedy parts. Is the main couple really worth all the skipping? or else I am totally dropping this show because tapping the fast forward button too much makes me strangely feel guilt.
I'm loving the sound of this unique plot surrounding the gumiho folklore and this better be a good one. 2021 mostly has thriller-suspense shows so far and the only romcom ones were disappointing, so I'm really hoping this is gonna be fun. Btw the 1st Look photo shoot with the leads looks so cute.
If the husbands are cheating a-holes, I ain’t watching this. Had enough of a-hole husbands, it’s about time they made a positive husband character because I’m tired of rich married guys being pathetic in every soapy dramas lol.
I'm like only 2 episodes in and well, I'm actually enjoying it a lot! The use of sound effects is a little too much but I could get used to that, the occasional mocking of typically frustrating BL tropes and stuff is a pretty fresh and entertaining idea and I like the main characters too. Also, love how we have a female character who isn't a weird fujoshi who's supposed to represent us but clearly fails to. But then again, my expectations for Thai BL has gotten pretty low thanks to 2gether and TharnType.
They cancel all these promising shows and leave us with Hello Me and Oh My Ladylord please-
They only cancelled a single drama so far which was ‘Joseon Exorcist’. Not to be judgemental, but bringing those 2 dramas into this seems like an injustice. There’s nothing wrong with having light-hearted romcom shows for the audience who like that sort of content.
Bae Ro Na is not dead.... yet. In the next ep preview, I can see that she is in a critical condition at the hospital.…
Oh, and I hate how Seok Kyung used Seo Jin's secret in such a stupid way. In the end, it brought her nothing and she could've easily utilized it to ruin Seo Jin's career beforehand. I just think that the secret fell into very wrong hands... ugh.
Bae Ro Na is not dead.... yet. In the next ep preview, I can see that she is in a critical condition at the hospital. But someone might kill her there. Nevertheless, although this was a weaker episode than ep4 (which was epic btw) it still sort of held the consistency. Hope it gets better. Also, they NEED to bring Logan back. The lack of Logan Lee scenes is obnoxious and wasn't he supposed to protect Bae Ro Na? Well, he sure as hell didn't. Finally, I can't wait to see Lee Ji Ah in next episode. Hoping it's one hell of an epic scene to make up for today's episode's weak flow.
