Really? The conflict made perfect sense to me.. he was scared of being hurt, and backed out. She didn't give it much thought, but the realisation of what he was to her, and what love truly was hit her pretty soon and wasn't dragged out. If not for him letting her go, she would have probably continued living in her own world, devoted to her work and not realising the way she neglected him and his feelings.
This was quite the surprise package. It may appear smut on the surface with all those steamy kisses and hot scenes but this one had substance, unlike most of the dramas in this erotic romance genre. There was a genuine connection shown between the leads who came to understand each other, understand love better, and give all of themselves to each other. Kojima Ken isn't just a hottie who can kiss, but can act as well.

The scenes in this where he forcibly kisses her / rapes her / hurts her were not meant to be "hot" or love scenes for romantic effect. They were meant to hit you hard, and feel anger and hatred towards Kawee. I can't speak for other viewers, but it does bother me how people get so triggered by this and hate on this (probably because there's an explicitness to it) but watch other slap / kiss lakorns and enjoy them (even though they have scenes of ML forcibly kissing the FL or other kinds of harassment).
At least this drama acknowledges what Kawee did as wrong, unlike 90% of lakorns where slap/kiss is no big deal, and not even acknowledged. Not only that, Kawee places himself at the mercy of Narin who is given the choice of whether she wants to forgve him or not. It's not just about the rape, everything he did wrong, from the hurtful, cruel words he used to his treatment of her - he realises how wrong it was, and seeks for forgiveness. He does not go to her to tell her that he loves her. He goes to her to seek forgiveness first. It's too bad if a reporter or other viewers don't see the intent of the story, because the intent was always very clear to me, and yes I watched it as a teen too (back when it was airing).
Anyway I don't believe in forcing my opinion on anyone and we can agree to disagree on this.
