It was sweet and romantic. BUTThe kind of drama that gives women unrealistic expectations of men because it makes…
HUH?! How is that even related to this drama LOL And why are you so triggered by this sweet, wholesome drama? No way was the ML subservient to the FL. He did have to be a little more considerate because she couldn't see well, but she did all she could for him too. It was a healthy relationship in every way.
For slice of life + romance, some you could start with - Koi Desu: Yankee-kun to Hakujou Garu Soratobu Kouhoushitsu Okaeri Mone Kekkon Dekinai Otoko Neechan No Koibito Uchi no Musume wa, Kareshi ga Dekinai!! Fight Song Rich Man Poor Woman
I use IMDB to store my non-Asian movie / drama lists I don't know about ratings but I enjoy reading the reviews on IMDB. They are well-written and much more balanced.
Many of the dramas and movies I really like are rated below 8 so I don't even know what qualifies as a decent rating on this site anymore.
Recently I saw a fantastic movie which I gave a rare 10 to. Guess the rating on it? It was 6.7 or 6.8. And if you read the comments, all of them are glowing reviews. And then I realized it was too dark for the common romcom MDL audience, and so it must have been down-rated just for its content / subject matter. And then I noticed similar ratings for some other really good dark movies which had controversial subject matters. And BINGO.
Dude TELL ME ABOUT IT Almost every other K drama / C drama page has at least 1 review with a 10. I mean I get that people rate things differently and also enjoy them differently. But seeing the repetition and frivolous rating pattern does annoy me a little..that's why I have stopped relying on the ratings and reviews on this site long back. My rule is to just watch whatever that interests me and make my own judgement.
Same. I'm also harsher on my ratings in general. And that seems to be common especially amongst people who watch a lot of Japanese movies / dramas. I wonder why...
Re-watching this after years and its probably the only South Korean drama where I shipped everyone with everyone.. like the entire cast had so much chemistry together (both romantic and platonic). They really hit the jackpot with the casting in this drama.
Mi Joo / Seong Gyum and Dan Ah / Young Hwa were adorable and precious but seriously I could totally picture these pairings as well Mi Joo / Dan Ah and Seong Gyum / Young Hwa Dan Ah / Seong Gyum and Mi Joo / Young Hwa Dan Ah / her secretary and Young Hwa / Tae Woong Dan Ah / Tae Woong (even though he's her step bro)
I barely see this kind of chemistry in a SK drama cast. So so refreshing. I want to be a part of their beautiful world so so bad.
Just one question can I expect a proper romance from this ??
YES - because it is a story of love. NO - if you're expecting the conventional romantic scenes. It's a lot more than that. Give it a try; once you start, you can't help but binge it to the end. It's addictive.
Re-watching these 8 vignettes of Kurosawa's recurring dreams hits different as an adult. This is not a perfect…
The dreams I enjoyed (in order)
(1) Sunshine Through the Rain (5) Crows (4) The Tunnel (7) The Weeping Demon (8) Village of Water Mills (6) Mt Fuji in Red (3) Blizzard (2) The Peach Orchard
Because K drama / C drama viewers tend to bump the ratings higher because of their favourites + give 10s to everything they like. Also many of them create fake accounts to bump up the ratings.
J drama viewers can't be bothered with all that + are harsher with ratings. Even if a drama is very good, you won't see a lot of dramas with 10s. The reviews will score it 7-9 + J dramas are not as popular because many make an assumption that they're not good based on watching a few poor movies/dramas that were meant for teens.
