I wanted to love this, but I struggled to even like it. It went downhill in the 2nd half. I loved the FL initially and rooted for her and I think that had a lot had to do with the actress. She had an innocence and silent strength to her. But I grew to dislike her towards the end of the series. I also disliked pretty much every other character in this drama, especially both the male leads, and the so called friend Naoko. The romance was also subpar and unconvincing. The ending theme with the dogs playing was the most random thing ever, but probably the best thing about this drama. A close second, would be the character development for Shima. He went from controlling and abusive, to a much more calmer and empathetic person. Miyazawa Rie deserved a better script :(
A feel good love story with loads of life lessons and heart. The leads were beautiful together. Only issue was that it was too short. Highly recommend this for all!
OMG THIS POST. LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT! I literally have watched every one of her dramas and movies. This brought me such nostalgia. Back then Taiwanese dramas used to be so good and popular.. it makes me so sad that T-dramas are barely subbed these days and most ppl don't watch them anymore. The writing is also not that good anymore unfortunately :( Thank you so much for this post. It got me all emotional.
No offence to him but I always dislike the characters he plays. Funny, because they're not necessarily bad or negative characters but they always rub me the wrong way.
I felt so much anger when Shima slapped Tsukasa at the end of E4. He asks her to not act cozy with him, and then expects her to just be waiting around for him while he can do whatever he wants.
Ok I'm so glad she stopped Shima and slapped him in E5. He shouldn't have forced himself on her. SHIT he did the same thing again in E7 URGHHHHHHHHHH
RE: Yoshimoto - I know he is not a bad guy, but he creeps me out. Like you're a married man with kids. Why are you following her around like you're in love with her. I don't understand why she likes him either.
Damn I don't like both the men.
Also, the ending song with the dogs is so random, yet cute.
Damn he's 37 already?! I feel old since I grew up watching his dramas... happy birthday to him. Hope he bounces back with a nice rom com. I do miss him on screen.
Though it wasn't as light and fluffy as the drama, I enjoyed the serious tone. I liked the closure for our leads, with some heartwarming moments. All in all, a satisfying watch. Kurosawa and Adachi will always remain in my heart <3

They were so damn adorable in Devil Beside You. I still watch some of their scenes every now and then.
It is so so iconic.

Can't wait to see Mitushima Hikari, Satoh Takeru, Kaho and Mukai Osamu all together <3
