E1. I FREAKING LOVED IT. First of all, let me say that I loved Kuroki Haru and Takenouchi Yutaka so much. Their banter, the chemistry. These two have the potential to make this a great romcom. I really hope we will get romance & not just the legal aspect. Pretty please show. Also, it was really interesting to see that both the leads are judges (it's the first I'm seeing a drama where so many of the characters are judges)
As someone who's in the legal profession, I tend to dislike legal dramas because they dramatize & showcase the legal profession really inaccurately. The only legal drama I've really enjoyed is Devil's Attorney. This might very well be the second. Iruma's idealism & eccentricity didn't irritate me (like it usually would) even though he was out of line & Chizu made valid points. A lot of my enjoyment came from the way it was all presented. The show didn't take itself too seriously in some aspects, but I love how it meant business when it did by making it clear that Iruma's actions had implications. It had humour but there was a lot of heart.
After a great winter season of J dramas, I am glad that the next one that I started watching was this. It definitely exceeded my expectations :)
sounds appealing to me! could i ask though if it's a light-hearted drama or a heavy one (emotionally taxing so…
No, it's not emotionally taxing. I won't call it particularly light-hearted either. I'd say it's a slice of life drama with a mix of emotions. It is fun, but it is also thought-provoking. Friendship being the top thing to watch this for.
Give the first 2 episodes a try & see if it is your cup of tea :)
I was in need of something really cheesy so I managed to continue lol even though I usually can't get past such tropes. But yes this does require a lot of switching off your brain to enjoy it.. few episodes in & I'm starting to struggle with this. I might end up dropping it.
Putting all the plot inconsistencies & problematic stuff aside, I am seriously bothered by the fact that the FL can't eat as she wishes & that the ML constantly controls what she eats & even throws her food away. Like I get it that's his house but being able to choose your own food is so basic urgh. After reading her diary & how much she had to struggle for meals, I thought he'd be more empathetic towards her. Unfortunately that's not the case. It was cheesy intially & I continued putting my brain to sleep but now I'm struggling to continue..
This drama was so good, I'm surprised it's not being talked about that at all. It touched upon a lot of topics…
YES to everything you said!!! I really loved how healthy & real this drama was, & the way they managed to make it so fun despite all that. The entire cast also had great synergy together... they really felt like a family :) Damn winter J dramas this year were all so good!
BTW Okada Masaki is starring in another drama starting this week by writer Sakamato Yuji. Do check it out :)
Looks like Hayami has decided that he's only going to star in dramas that offer him the weirdest characters .. not that I'm complaining hee Nice to see Yumi here.. haven't seen her in anything since Kyou Kara Ore Wa :)

I've liked her in the few support roles I've seen her in.

Anybody knows more siblings? I know there's the Hirose sisters, Eita & Kento.
