Is it just me!!! Or is anybody finding it hard to get an interesting kdrama to watch....
Yeah, I'll be happy to suggest J dramas too. I've majorly shifted to watching J dramas in the past few years :) You'll be surprised by the amount of variety & quality you'll find in J dramas.
I enjoyed this. It was no masterpiece, but it gave me a little bit of everything. Definitely not as bad as the reviews are making it out to be. A FL with spunk who learnt to be confident, her journey of heartbreaks to finding love, a little bit of friendship and romance, and the best thing - all that social commentary that was going on each episode. That was smart, witty and hilarious. Recommended for anyone that wants a light, easy watch on navigating through self-love & romantic relationships as a teen.
This reminds me of those Hallmark movies I used to watch as a kid. Nothing mind-blowing, just an easy, sweet & heartwarming watch that leaves you smiling at the end.
HE'S SO HILARIOUS! What an actor, I love him. He doesn't even need to say or do anything, I always start laughing the moment he enters the frame LMAOOO
Why is that? I have no knowledge on Taiwanese directors, lol. All I know Leste Chen directs lots of crime dramas?…
Yeah maybe? Also, a lot of times I just feel the modern C dramas are not well shot. The angles they use are very amateurish & bad? Camera work is also very sloppy. Very few modern C dramas are well shot - Love Me If You Dare is one of those better shot ones. It is strange because the fantasy dramas from China (the few that I saw) are well shot, have good angles & good camerawork. So I don't really understand.. maybe it's also a budget issue?
I hope this doesn't put a stain on your view of jdramas because other dramas this season and next seasons have…
Some other J dramas with romance that I'd like to recommend
- Love Lasts Forever (if you want fluffy) - Oh My Boss - Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru - Takane No Hana - In This Corner of the World - Soratobu Kouhoushitsu - Destiny like Love - Kono Koi Atatamemasu ka - Zenkai Girl - Ashi Girl - Aishiteiru to Ittekure - Mahiru No Tsuki - Majo No Jouken
BTW J dramas this year (a lot of them) were FANTASTIC. Will give you recommendations if you want.

A lot of modern Chinese dramas that I've seen had bad direction, and so I dropped majority of them. TW directors, on the other hand, direct better. When it comes to a modern Chinese dramas, I always prefer those that have a TW production team. This is just my opinion based on my years of drama watching.
YESS it's one week away. I can barely hold my excitement for all my fav actors' dramas starting next week. Satomi, Ayano Go, Suda, Kamiki, Eita ALL HERE TO BLESS US!
DROPPED midway through E3. It has Sakamoto Yuji's style of dialogue but lacked the depth his writing usually has. Too bad because Takahashi Issei was fantastic whenever he was on screen. In fact, he was the best thing about this and his character did make some valid points. It has a lot of nudity & sexual content so stay away if you're triggered or uncomfortable with such content. Definitely not for everybody. Also, watch with headphones if you live with family.
AGREED. It's one of my favorite Japanese dramas, so I don't expect this remake can top it, but I'm interested…
I think it's safe to say that everybody who watched Nagi's Long Vacation fell in love with her. Majority of the people I know became her fan through that drama :) Her drama just started this week! I can't wait for E1 subs to be out. Check out her other dramas & movies as well!
Omg you loved it too..haha this is definitely my fav movie and love story of all times
Wow really? Cool. I can't remember the story much except that I was blown by it. I actually watched it years ago, but just decided to add it to my watchlist a few days back (as I'm pretty new to MDL).
