Aaron Yan WHAT?!!!!I HAD SUCH A HUGE CRUSH ON HIMI JUST GOOGLED AND I AM SHOCKED AND HORRIFIED BY WHAT HE DID!
Dude tell me about it! I was equally shocked when I found out about it. That's why I am not a fan of any celebrity anymore. You never know who turns out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. I purely appreciate actors for their acting and that's it.
There are probably tons more that I don't know of. But I am going to update it whenever any news comes up because seriously I am so sick of criminals and I don't want to watch anything with them even if it is a guest appearance.
E10 was so problematic I don't know if I want to continue watching this anymore.. Pity because its so hilarious and such romcoms are rare these days.
He's a psychiatrist and uses the 2FL who is suicidal to fake-date her and cover for him in front of his mother. He knows damn well that she's building expectations and instead of cutting her off properly, he uses her?! I find this show pretty funny but couldn't they have him be part of another profession?! I really cannot take the way they don't take the mental health profession seriously. Psychiatrists are not perfect and have their issues like normal people but they are definitely not as unassertive. Also I really hate the way they portray his clients to be women jumping on him. It's not funny at all.
The FL's grandma tries to kick Rika when she claims to be the ML's girlfriend instead of breaking the alliance. Why would you let your precious grand-daughter marry a man who has a girlfriend, that too someone so outrageous to come and claim her right over him and be rude. Does the grandmother really think this woman won't bother them after marriage?!
I continued watching, and it's a relatively light watch.
And then E19 happened and another problem -
what is with the dad engaging in sex with a younger woman while he's married and worse, his son was supporting him and making jokes out of it.. Also that Tinder joke a few episodes back GOSH. WTF?!
Dating a minor is a punishable offence by the law. You may ask why. That's because minors, no matter how mature…
His agency clearly knows the truth and I think they were caught off-guard. They clearly released their statement in panic, and in an attempt to damage-control. But oh boy, their statement made matters worse.
Of course, that evidence would not be sufficient. But a competent lawyer would be able to draw that stretch that if they were comfortable kissing, who knows they might have crossed the line. He/she would also be able to draw on moral grounds to say that we should not even be allowing an adult and minor to date in the first place and call for changes in the law.
I am not sure if an autopsy was conducted on her, but if there was, that might show that she did have sexual relations with men, and again, a competent lawyer might draw that stretch that since they were dating, he might be one of her partners.
Again, these points aren't backed by evidence so they might be dismissed.
I am pretty sure he will get away. Her death might have opened a can of worms for him, but it also guaranteed his safety. Things would be different if she was alive. Sigh..
Every industry has its darkness but the amount of shit that keeps coming out of K-ent, I am quite put off by K dramas now. As it is, I have been watching a lot lesser because I just don't find them as engaging anymore but now I think I'm just gonna avoid them..

While the correct legal term would be having sex, I don't see any problem with using the word dating. Dating is not synonymous to having sex but it does prove an intent to have sex because it involves the desire to find a sexual / romantic partner, and the ambits of grooming include meeting and communicating with an intent to commit a sexual offence - so when a minor and adult date (or any 2 sexual adults date), there is a higher likelihood that sex would be involved, though that act has to be proven. The very fact that he dated her and hid it is questionable, and can be used against him.
She's dead so it might be difficult to prove that they had sex, but there are pictures of him kissing her which might indicate that they did have some physical relations. Also, I don't know about South Korean law, but kissing a minor is punishable in some countries.
Dating a minor is a punishable offence by the law. You may ask why. That's because minors, no matter how mature they may appear, are not capable of making important decisions. They are still considered a kid, and kids are less developed than adults in every way; physically, cognitively, socio-emotionally and so on. Their cosent is, thus, questionable. Yes, sometimes minors and adults may genuinely fall in love BUT the adult is held responsible because he/she is in a status of manipulating the kid (specifically grooming). Why can't the adult find someone nearer his age? In this case, there is an added layer of grooming in that not only was KSH older, but he was in a position of influence which makes it easier for him to manipulate and dominate her. He may not have done it outrightly, but it would have played out in subtle forms in the relationship. And that is the problem.
He did not kill her, but he was in a position to help her emotionally. He was her boyfriend. Emotions aside, his agency (acting for him) was also involved financially, and we cannot say that his agency and him are complete separate entities because he had power to dictate the decisions the agency made.
The fact that he lied about dating her and left her to harrassment by his fangirls is very telling of the kind of person he was. If they were consenting adults and it was just a normal relationship with a normal breakup, why did he hide it in the first place?
All these factors make the case shady.
We are not fussing over a simple love story here. Heck, was it even a love story, we do not know.
The first 3-4 episodes were so loud and messy that I expected this to be a batshit lakorn with a love hexagon.…
HIS 'I LOVE TOILET' AND HER 'I LOVE POLICE' T-SHIRT IN THE LAST EPISODE HAD ME SCREAMINGGGGGGGGG. ALSO, I WASN'T EXPECTING THE RETURN OF THE NURSE COSTUME!!!!!! HAHAHAAHAHHAAHHAHA Very creative!
The first 3-4 episodes were so loud and messy that I expected this to be a batshit lakorn with a love hexagon. But the tonal shift in the episodes thereafter thoroughly surprised me, and made this an enjoyable watch. I loved the fiesty FL and her refusal to take shit from anyone. The ML was likeable too; he made me melt with his smile and the way he hugged her. Bright / Kao's chemistry was top notch. The leads bickered a lot but I adored how it was balanced with a fair amount of communication, especially with the way they addressed their growing feelings and growing sexual tension at various points. Very very rare for a lakorn. The second leads were adorable and uncomplicated. There were some annoying characters like Aik and his wife, which could have been written better, but I like that they popped up only once in a while and were bearable enough. The crime / mystery element was decent but I didn't care much for it. All in all, a very enjoyable and watchable lakorn. I'd definitely recommend this!
Such a refreshing and fun article! I enjoyed reading it :)

Assault is never the answer, especially ganging up against someone to teach them a lesson.
