Kiritani Kenta has a small role as himself, and his nickname is "Kiri" but Netflix translated it as "Killy" **facepalm**
ARE YOU SERIOUS LMAOOOOOOO On a serious note, Netflix's translations for j-dramas are subpar to the fansubbers'. Re-watched IWGP last year and there was a world of difference between the fansubs and Netflix subs.
Added, thank you!And yes, let's boycott them and productions that choose to work with them.
The percentage of women sexually harrassing and raping other men / women is a lot lower though there are tons of them in positions of influence who solicit prostitution or casting couch. I am guessing that they are hardly published or publicised because men do not speak up. They fear being seen as cowardly or less manly if they were to accuse a woman of raping or coercing them. Also proving that they are a victim is tough because the mindset still remains that a woman is weaker than a man. Same for women against other women; how do you prove it when the law itself recognises rape/assault as gender-specific, specifically men on women.
TELL ME ABOUT ITThat's why I find the legal system so messed up in that rapists can continue to get work while…
He was one of the names that came to my mind when I was making the comment. I mean he took a pic near the shrine honouring Japanese officials who invaded China.. so freaking what?! That does not mean he is not nationalistic. Going by that argument, every Chinese citizen who consumes Japanese goods or visits Japan ought to be cancelled. Also, even if he isn't nationalistic - big deal. How many people are truly nationalistic these days?! What he did wasn't even a freaking offence.
Also this guy Moon Tae Il ...he has a profile on MDL but not sure if it counts (quasi rape charges - I don't know…
OMG that is horrendous. Added, thank you! So basically quasi-rape consists of 2 more people sexually assaulting a victim, with the help of a weapon, who is incapacitated and unable to resist due to certain circumstances. In this case, she was heavily drunk.
Please check out Li Yi Feng (prostitution) and Jiang Jin Fu (assault)https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-62874773https://pagesix.com/2018/11/30/chinese-actor-arrested-for-alleged-abuse-of-girlfriend/
I had no idea about both of them! GOSHHHH my list just keeps getting longer.. god knows how many more there are :(( Added, thank you.
It's so rare to find romcoms that truly make you laugh these days, and this was such a refreshing change. It wasn't without its flaws but boy did I enjoy this hilarious, leave-your-brains-at-home story with bickering leads, positive characters, and a lot of heart. Namfah has found a fan in me for sure. She killed it as Lamdao and Faidam with her comic timing and charm. Old-school romcom lovers - this one's for you!
It's just...weird. You've got all these problematic guys in the Squid Game 2 cast, and then you see tons of support…
I don't know what to say really. You're absolutely right. The blind support they receive sickens me but I'll admit I'm no messiah out to change the world, and neither do I have interest in writing long paragraphs to change people's mind about them. I'm just doing my bit which I doubt makes much difference, but at least it eases my conscience and makes me feel less sick..
Isnt it weird that a lot of female actress are still friends with Kim Hi Eo Ra - especially the "The Glory" cast…
Nothing new, isn't it? A lot of actors on this list continue to have friends in the industry and continue to be part of major productions. I won't be surprised if a lot of them are cut from the same cloth. It's only time when they will be exposed one-by-one.
How the fuck some of them still getting the role and drama ??
TELL ME ABOUT IT That's why I find the legal system so messed up in that rapists can continue to get work while others get cancelled over drugs (not that I'm undermining the importance of drug control and regulation) or other minor scandals. Heck, some of them were not even sentenced and got away with paying a freaking fine or managed to use their money to settle out of court. I think its high time we take their crimes seriously and not support any projects they're in (even if it is a guest appearance).
Who? Need to know so that I'm mindful in the future.
Lee Kyung Young - he was charged for raping a minor. I have a list of blacklisted actors who engaged in sexual / violent crimes in case you are interested : https://kisskh.at/list/3WWzB6Z3
SAME! I found out after watching S1 too. The cast for the 2nd and 3rd seasons are even more problematic and it's scary that despite so many articles published on their scandals, so many people watched the 2nd season and helped them make money.
LMAOOOOOOO

I'll do it one of these days when I get the time. I'm glad my list is of help :)
I am equally baffled.
And thank you for the blessings :)

You may wish to google more to find out.
