Finally watched the 1st episode! Has anybody seen The Mist? This gave me similar vibes (minus the zombies). Firstly, what a fantastic cast! I love all of them. Great actors & great characters.. can't wait for them to be fleshed out in the next few episodes. I was fully invested in the show & their need to survive. I loved the cinematography of the show and this didn't look low budget to me (unlike others' opinions), they did a pretty good job IMO. The score after they saved the little girl was beautiful. J dramas tend to be dark and I can see this becoming darker as it progresses. I'm in for the ride!
Oh! I was wondering why she's always seems nervous around the VP. It was so unlike her tbh. No wonder. Also, what…
Reiko will not admit it, but it's obvious she sees potential in Nami and unlike others, she explains things to Nami when Nami prods her.
I do think Reiko is very ambitious and wishes to inherit the company & there is clearly some resentment there with her father who once called Reiko his dream in her childhood, & now like others wants to hand over the company to an unambitious Jun by virtue of him being a man.
Nami likes Jun, but she clearly has self esteem issues & never thinks of herself as worthy, which is why she did not give Jun her phone number when he asked & chose to run away instead. Its obvious (and as we saw at the end of E3), it is Jun who has to take the first step in their relationship & I'm glad he did.
The preview - if I am not wrong he called her his girlfriend because he was jealous of Nakazawa holding Nami's hand. I am sure he sensed Nakazawa's growing feelings for Nami as well.
I'm looking to the aftermath of the kiss in E4 lol, though I think Nami might run away before even giving Jun a chance to explain. I hope that's not the case, and Jun lets her know that he likes her.
All those asking for recommendations on dramas/movies similar to this, here are some :-
Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi Ni [currently airing] Kazoku Game The Mist (English show on Netflix) Mirai Nikki 3 Nen A Gumi 20th Century Boys 1: Beginning of the End As the Gods Will Liar Game Bokutachi ga Yarimashita Gantz Tomodachi Game Kaseifu no Mitazono Tokyo Vampire Hotel
Any other show: Omj falls, ML comes to pick her up.
Ahh that. YES. I know right. Also I hate how female characters are projected such that their value is only worth leads' affections & that they don't any value as a person themselves. Run On is a very refreshing k drama.
I do think he's the killer, or at least an accomplice to the murders. Riku is very suspicious (there's more to…
Hmmm.. theory #1 makes a lot of sense. The fact that he kept a list got me wondering. He could have been investigating the cases, or just have a psychotic interest in these murders.
Regarding keeping the items, I can understand why though. If you throw it away, you never know where it goes & how it will come back to haunt you (eg being the glove). If I were a killer, I wouldn't throw the stuff I used to kill. I would keep it some place, really safe (not in my house but somewhere safe).
Also did you realise that in E1 way before the switch and after their first meeting (the 2nd time Hidaka saw her, he was at the police building.. I wonder what he was doing there.
I like this spin-off a bit more than the main drama
Wow really? I really like the main drama. Your comment makes me want to start watching the spin off now. I was planning to watch after the main drama ends.
well from ep2 it seems like Hidaka Haruto might not be the killer, but I'd hate it if the killer is Watanabe Riku
I do think he's the killer, or at least an accomplice to the murders.
Riku is very suspicious (there's more to what meets the eye about him), but I think he might not be the killer either. At the moment, I find Yamaki most suspicious.
Also I just looked up the cast info, and I realised there are characters who still haven't appeared..
So many questions! I can't wait to see how this turns.
