Ive seen many of this types but all i remembered is Hotaru no Hikari, Nodame Cantabile, Yankee kun to megume chan,…
I have watched Hotaru No Hikari & Nodame Cantabile & I don't find them anything similar to this (both in terms of dialogue & screenplay) I'll check out the other 2 you mentioned. Thank you for your reply!
Watched the 3rd episode. It was MUCH BETTER! I don't love it yet, but I don't fully dislike it either. A lot of mixed feelings (which is new for me as I tend to either like/dislike a drama)
NOTE to all those who found ML creepy and manipulative in the first 2 episodes, don't give up until you watch till the end of E3. I almost wanted to give up midway of E3 lol but I decided to just watch on, and I appreciated the development in the ML's character (he went from appearing manipulative to giving her more space & letting her decide in the second half of E3).
Other things I liked:- - The FL called out the ML's behaviour - The show slowed down to give us more insight into the FL's feelings and the leads' talked rather than rushed into a fake relationship. - Finally saw some chemistry between the leads as well.
What I didn't like - the ending of E3. I was loving the FL, and her honesty but I don't get why she had to resort to what the ML proposed at the end of the episode. Why complicate things further (and appear as a wrong party) when all you can do is call out the SML's behaviour & break things off clean. Urgh I was starting to like this and then that ending threw me off.
I hope this is not how the drama will continue to be, in that each time I warm up to the characters, it will throw me off with their stupid decisions.
Watch it! The story was amazing, and the acting was absolutely BRILLIANT. Also loved the way this was shot. Ishihara really showed her acting chops in this one, she was so damn good.
Yes, it ishttps://dramanice.so/uchi-no-musume-wa-kareshi-ga-dekinai/watch-uchi-no-musume-wa-kareshi-ga-dekinai-episode-2-online
I'm so sorry. Will do so going forward.
Also want to thank you for doing such a brilliant job with subbing this drama. It must be harder than the regular drama with all the word play & fast dialogues, but you're doing such a great job. THANK YOU!
I love the mum's relax room so much! The walls filled with clouds, and the ceiling with the starry lights. I would stay in that room and never come out lol
Anyone knows more dramas with a screenplay style like this drama? I love it so much.
I don't really know what this kind of style/genre is called. Love the little ways in which they play around with the camera, make fun of themselves & then return to character. They are all slightly eccentric as well. LOVE that they don't take themselves seriously. There is a lot of interesting wordplay as well. In short, it is witty and fun with a lot of heart.
Mr Nietzsche in the Convenience Store had a similar style with eccentric characters, only that it was more deadpan humour, and sarcastic / satire-ish.

Anybody can recommend more good dramas of his?
I've also seen him in Serei No Moribito, Karamazov no Kyodai, Ossan's Love & Kyojo.
EDIT: He was fantastic in Spark as well.
