Anybody else annoyed at the amount of screen time the cameo hogged in E7? Like I don't get what was the point of showing him. We already have so many characters that they could have spent time on. URGH.
This was an uncomfortable drama to watch. Brilliant acting, writing and direction. The entire cast was absolutely…
Maria. AHHHH what do I say? Sukuzi Honami was nothing short of brilliance in this role. Never at any time, did I feel that Maria was just a fictional character. The character she played was the strongest FL I have ever seen. She was so badass, cold even at times but damn that woman had a heart. She literally gave her everything to people she loved, esp Shiro. Each time I felt that she had nothing more to give, its like she broke herself into more pieces so that she could give them to Shiro.
Shiro.. I pitied him until the last episode but his conversation with Kamiya is where I started detesting him, hated him & wanted to punch him so bad. His suffering came as a result of his irresponsible actions, and it hurt when he blamed Maria for his downfall. It was so uncomfortable watching him spiral downwards from an acclaimed pianist to an abusive drug addict. The acting was absolutely brilliant.
Kamiya - the one man who anybody would want. Despite everything, he saw Maria for who she was, and loved her. I cried for him when Maria chose to jump off the helicopter. He deserved happiness, he deserved Maria, and Maria deserved him. LIKE WHYYYYYYY.
I am so glad that at least, Nana and Jun seem to have attained some sort of happiness (their confession). Their last scene was heartfelt.
Rumi and her slave. I was shocked at what he did.
Everybody in this drama loved in such destructive yet consuming way.. finally realised why this drama was called 'end of the world'.
This was an uncomfortable drama to watch. Brilliant acting, writing and direction. The entire cast was absolutely phenomenal. My heart hurt for Maria so so much.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to watch love that is very destructive and consuming yet giving at the same time. It is very raw and depressing as it shows the extent to which people can go for love. Please note that it can get very uncomfortable at times so watch only if you are ready for something that gets really really dark.
I can't believe what I watched. I haven't been this upset of a drama ending since a long time. The first episode…
I completely agree with you. Out of all 4 of them, Rika deserved happiness the most. She was honest, and loyal unlike the other 3 who cheated. It was heartbreaking to see her in so much pain and to see her putting up that front of smiling. Rika (and the actress who played her) carried the drama for me. And to see the 1 character I rooted for end up that way, made me so so angry.
The only thing I'll disagree with is that I'm glad that Rika didn't end up with spineless Kanji. She deserved better.
Finished the 3rd episode. AHHHHH this was REALLY REALLY GOOD. I WANTED MORE. 9/10 from me.
The only con of this drama was that this deserved to be at least 8 episodes.. there was so much more that could be explored within the short stories, so much more to explore with the ML and why he was the way he was, his power etc.
THIS HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL TO BE REALLY BRILLIANT IF THE TEAM DECIDED TO MAKE THIS A FULL FLEDGED SERIES.
I actually loved E2 so much. I found it even more brilliant than the 1st episode.
Right. I see what you mean. And that is my issue with this drama.. the concepts were brilliant, the ideas were brilliant. Even the acting was brilliant. But we never got to understand how he derived that power, where it came from, why he decided to use it the way he did (and in case of E2 like you said, why he was able to resist it unlike others who clearly fell into the temptation). Like I needed them to explore the ML more in his space (not just through the stories).
It was too short and needed more time for the stories and ML to be fleshed out.
2 episodes in.. this is clearly a low budget production. But the acting, writing, music and most importantly, execution is BRILLIANT. I wish these weren't just short stories though. The ideas could be explored in so much more depth.

HAHA. Cute drama though.
