To evoke such strong feelings of wanting to live in the 1930s and experience what these characters did.. oh how…
My only gripe with this drama is that Taan never quite apologized for calling Prissana frivolous and labelling her as someone who let Preweet on (when she did no such thing). Rather, he was the frivolous one who hung out with Rati despite knowing damn well that she had feelings for him. He owed an apology to both women.
To evoke such strong feelings of wanting to live in the 1930s and experience what these characters did.. oh how is it possible, that too with a lakorn?! A rare lakorn with zero toxicity, sane and logical characters, a well-rounded story with a romance that gave me butterflies.. what more can I ask for? Absolutely loved every single about this from the casting / acting, to the OST, to the direction and production. Highly highly recommended for all :)
P.S This could very well pass as a Thai adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. So if you love Jane Austen and P&P, this is an absolute must-watch!
The older lakorns didn't have much LGBTQ content.. its a recent trend that's started in the past decade. So you…
If you loved My Cherie Amour, you'd love this drama called 'Prissana'. I just finished it and it's absolutely lovely and romantic. No LGBTQ as well. Probably one of the best lakorns ever. http://mydramalist.com/9840-prissana
I just finished Nanyobi ni Umareta no. Highly recommend it!
Suna no Utsuwa isn't something that will rack your brain. It's a slow watch that picks up in the 2nd half, but yes it's good. Unfortunately, it's not available in good quality anymore. https://www5.myasiantv.tv/tv-series/suna-no-utsuwa/episode-1
Btw, I highly recommend this Taiwanese mystery / thriller called 'Bump Off Lover'. Probably one of the best I've seen. https://kisskh.at/1577-bump-off-lover It's available on the same site as above :)
Films have shoved this idea of romance as being one of the must-haves in one's life so much so that its hard for people to digest the idea of a person wanting to be alone, aroace or not, and I love that this film pointed out how we all deserve to live our lives the way we want. An aroace person isn't anyone different; they are human just like all of us. Some prefer apples, some prefer oranges and some don't even like fruit. It's the same with the way we identify ourselves. All of us have different orientations and preferences which ought to be respected. People should stop trying to box others into a category or scrutinize others for not conforming to the norm. Live and let live.
It was not a flawless film by any means but a very honest and sincere attempt at depicting human differences and fragility, and for that it should be commended.
Bingeable drama with pleasant leads, and a romance you can't help but root for amidst some meddling family members, and annoying second leads. I enjoyed this and would recommend it for those who love the older romance dramas from the early 2000s; this one definitely had that vibe. Also contrary to popular opinion, I found the twist on the happy ending to be unconventional and bold.
It was a happy ending for the main cp no question. I guess what everyone is griping about had to do with the honeymoon…
I couldn't agree more.
Add to your comment, I think it's also to show that just because the leads are together, their life won't be hunky dory. Rather, people will continue to do shit but they will be facing it together with each other and the family's support.
It's also juxtaposing the life that could have been for the 2ML VS reality where the FL moved on with another being happy. Same with the 2FL - she can do whatever she wants with the video but it doesn't change the reality that the leads are together. The leads belong together while the second leads belong where they are, because of their own bad decisions.
I can see why many did not like the insertion of the clip but I think it was unconventional and bold. Interesting choice.
I love barfi but which scenes are similar to barfi? I cant pinpoint😭
Same. I mostly watch older Indian films when they had great directors and script-writers like Satyajit Ray, Basu Chatterjee, Hrishikesh Mukherjee. RItwik Ghatak etc... so many of them. Music was also at its peak from the 50s - early 2000s. Not sure what happened...
They'll update here once it gets picked up.

I fell in love with her after watching Prissana.
Prissana (2000)
Are We Alright?
My Cherie Armour (just 2 scenes alluding to the FL's brother being gay.. nothing physical shown)
My Forever Sunshine

Did I mention how much I hate Ruo Yun 😡
