They still do.. tons of them.
These are the ones I can think of at the top of my head -

Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san (FL does the flirting and is the dominant one)
Soratobu Kouhoushitsu (FL chases first)
Love Lasts Forever (FL chases first)
Neechan No Koibito (FL chases first)
Date (FL is richer and ambitious while ML hates working)
Takane no Hana (FL is richer, stronger, chases first)
Kenja No Ai (FL grooms ML, is richer, stronger, and manipulative)
Will Love in Spring (FL chases first)
Tomorrow With You (FL chases first)
Attention, Love (FL chases first)
Love Shuffle (I can't remember who is richer / chases first, but pretty fun rom-com)

Will get back to you with more if I remember..
and I am glad you like my name.. that's pretty much what I do whenever I am free. There's nothing like chilling XDD

If the reason you're dropping it is because she rejects him in E4 then watch on because they get together in E5…
It's not a great drama overall, but their love for each other was pretty unconditional and pure..

These are some dramas that encapsulate what you are looking for. Give them a try!

Can't believe she has grown up, the same age as my younger sibling! It feels like I have just watched her in Zenkai…
I literally came here to post the same comment!

A bittersweet movie, filled with innocence, warmth and the uncertainties of growing up. about a bunch of kids playing hooky from kindergarden and taking their farewell trip across the country. As usual, Sakamoto Yuji did not disappoint, though this wasn't his best. All the kids were stellar.

That's fine. Ratings are very subjective, and everyone should have the freedom to rate however they want it.

And thank you for such a kind comment. I am glad my comments are of help :)

I keep seeing your comments (very informative, thank you so much for those!) on j dramas' pages so I came to find…
Thank you for your comment!

I don't rate dramas based on enjoyment. I rate them very objectively. There are tons of dramas that I rate 8 - 9 but enjoyed them a lot more than those on a 10.

And yes, of course we are all bound to have different experiences when we watch content because we come from different walks of life and have gone through different journeys that have shaped our views and our personalities. For instance, I enjoy a lot of dark and gritty content that questions one's morality, which many people would view simply as "wrong" but to me, that's a depiction of what it is to be human, and how one's mind can be so complex.
That's why I am happy to recommend dramas / movies, but I don't expect people to love them the way I did, and I appreciate people having a POV that is very different from mine :)

If you're talking about cinematography only, these are some stunning dramas (amongst the many) that you can try…
I did not like 'First Love' as I found the scriptwriting very weak for a J-drama, but it was visually stunning so I suggested it. But I am glad you enjoyed it :)

Here are some solid J-dramas that I would recommend for the overall script, acting, story, and experience -
