Has he written anything as dark and compelling as Kono Yo No Hate?I watched that drama recently and I am blown…
Nope. Kono Yo No Hate is his darkest work IMO. Some other darker works would be Ningen Shikkaku Kou Kou Kyoushi Lipstick Algernon ni Hanataba wo Takane No Hana 49 Strawberry on the Shortcake
Some of his lighter works are worth checking out too, like - Golden Bowl Nanyobi ni Umareta no Love Shuffle Pride Under One Roof 101st Marriage Proposal
He's a solid screenwriter. Most of his dramas are pretty good (barring a few).
Me too!My father is rather religious, and he's reluctant to watch things that aren't documentaries because of…
YAY high five!
Agree on Okaeri Mone. I feel like it healed me and left me with this wonderful feeling of loving and appreciating myself and the world around us better.
Oooh you've gotten me even more excited for Tora Ni Tsubasa.. can't wait to start it!
I haven't seen much but I was very impressed with his role in Gannibal. I'll have to watch him more!
I haven't seen all his work but these are some of his good dramas and movies that I have seen. You might want to check them out -
Tonari No Nurse Aide Gannibal Oi Handsome! Tori Girl The Count of Monte-Cristo: Great Revenge Tonari no Nurse Aide Tapestry Principal: Koi Suru Watashi wa Heroine Desu Ka? Sumika Sumire
This was so good, but it could have been even better if this was a mini-series instead. That length wasn't enough to develop the characters and story fully. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed this multi-genre movie and was hooked all the way to the end. Also Nakama Yukie and Odagiri Joe were on another level in their prime; what beauty <3 To be fair, they've both aged like fine wine and are still as charming as ever.
Romantic, heartwarming and unpredictable. This is HANDS DOWN the best human / robot love story I have seen. Ayase Haruka was perfect. Highly highly recommended for all!

That's cute. Asadoras are very family-friendly indeed. I'm sure your father will enjoy them. I recommended Okaeri Mone to my mother and she fell in love with it. They're really well-written, layered and flesh out a character's journey from birth to death beautifully. Simple, heartwarming and therapeutic (like you said). Also I love that they're very feminist.
What are your favourite asadoras?
I've only seen Hanako to Anne, Okaeri Mone, and Asa Ga Kita so far, and I absolutely loved them. Gochisosan, and Gegege no Nyobo, and this one are on my list next. I want to watch all the asadoras that have been subbed.
"I just want the person I love to fall in love with the person he loves."
Tamaki Hiroshi and Miyazaki Aoi stole my heart away in this bittersweet and heartwarming tale of love. As with most classics around the world, they just don't make them like this anymore.
This was quite the unique, immersive and fascinating watch, with gorgeous cinematography and direction. Our three leads were great, especially Emoto Tasuku who just kills it in every role.
P.S This isn't a film for everybody. You'll either find it deep or pretentious. There is no middle ground.
And she did it again when she did the robotic dance at the nightclub, but at least I was prepared for it. XD

I just realised the earlier seasons have the same leads so I will start with the 1st season.
