Well directed and well acted drama , I love the calm nature of miyabi and the interactions however there are two…
I beg to differ.

The script didn't do Chiba Yudai dirty because that is the role he picked. This isn't a story about him and he does get a lot of screen space for a supporting character. I don't think his character is underplayed. Maybe you should check out more of his dramas, specifically the ones he is a male lead in. He's been doing quite a number of lead roles in the past few years.

RE: the ML - I don't think he is emotionless at all. I find his acting very understated and natural. He sticks to a routine like many people do. That is his character sketch. And it makes sense given his job scope. He said he was engaged to Miyabi but we don't know that for a fact. Also, he's doing his very best for her but he doesn't push her. He waits patiently for her trust and consent, and lets her be the one to make the decision. He also has his own job to look out for and despite that, he's been trying his best to question Dr Osako regarding her condition. He did try out with the medicines but he was aware that they may have side effects so he's also being cautious with the treatment because it's a human's brain and life we're talking about here.

Title 366 Days Spoiler
My only question after completing this drama: where was the love? This drama had such a classic feel, a beautiful…
When they got together at the end, I couldn't be bothered LOL though I'm glad she questioned why he keeps playing with her feelings. I don't understand why he even rejected her in E10; it looked like the writer just wanted to stall time and make that happily ever after scene in E11 which is such a freaking COP OUT.

Such a contrast to Episode 7 when he found her, piggybacked her and they talked about their future which gave me so many feels. Even their breakup in E8 was beautifully done.

SIGH... their romance was such a dud. What a disservice to that OST which speaks of a star-crossed, eternal love. The whole point of the accident should have been to make them fall in love all over again (without the high school memories), but till the end, they seemed to be stuck in the past.

My only question after completing this drama: where was the love?
This drama had such a classic feel, a beautiful OST / score and likeable characters, but it failed to deliver. Maybe I am being overtly critical because it wasn't a bad drama per se but the writing just didn't hit the spot when it came to the romance. Instead of focusing on having the leads build their relationship and understanding each other better, this drama focused on everything else. I was invested for most of it hoping we'd finally get to the leads' story and romance because some of the tidbits we had from Episodes 5 to 8 were lovely, but I lost interest in the romance by the end of E10, and stayed for the friendship. I've also seen better acting from both leads in other dramas.

There's another drama that aired this year with 2 leads who loved each other since high school (though different concept/theme) that did a beautiful job in making you feel the love the leads had for each other; I recommend that instead. It's called 'Kimi Ga Kokoro Wo Kuretekara'.
Another recommendation for a well-rounded romance and character story from this year would be 'Unmet'.

Iwai Shunji may not make the best films, but he's a master of creating poetry in motion with his frames. What a visually stunning and bittersweet film about friendship, love and teenage angst.

P.S I've always wondered why Suzuki Anne never made it big. She has been consistently good in all the films and dramas I've seen her in.

The dynamic between Asa-Godai-Shinjiro is so special. I have never seen that kind of relationship between a woman and 2 men portrayed so beautifully. If only more movies and dramas could have this kind of dynamic..

Fansubber is still subbing :)She'll probably upload it in a few days.
Oh yes! You are right. The drama does start off in 2028.
URGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

To be honest, I don't care about Haruto remembering. He clearly looked like he was falling in love with her all over again in Episodes 5 to 8. And I liked that, because I always felt like Asuka doesn't really know and love Haruto for who he is. She's stuck in the past. Which is why her confession in E10 was lovely, because it showed that she wanted to get to know the present him and start again.

Anyway it's just 1 more episode. I'll see where it goes and complete it. My interest is gone. Doesn't help that this season had great dramas and this one pales in front of them.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT
If they do a time jump I'll be so damn angry
Seriously Haruto needs to work for it, rather than just turn up after years and be like 'I love you' with Asuka just accepting it.
Seriously him rejecting at the end of E10 took all my interest in the drama away.. that was literally the perfect opportunity for him to convey his love and for them to work together as a couple. But no he had to break her heart again. At this point, I'd rather Asuka just move on.

TELL ME ABOUT IT.
The last few mins of E10 made me scream.

"Marriage is not a human obligation."
"We choose our own lives and we decide for ourselves."

A solid drama representing contemporary relationships and people, with beautiful character development and a message of inclusiveness, sensitivity and self-love.
It is no masterpiece, but I wholeheartedly recommend this underrated gem :)

You are saying the exact same thing as I did. Good luck with the last episode 😁
HAHA I have lost all hope.
Honestly this wasn't a fantastic drama but it was pretty watchable until the last few minutes of E10.
JUST WHY?!

Is it good ?
I usually post after a drama ends.
The only time I post while I'm still watching is when I have no one to discuss with. This one I have people to discuss with HAHA
But yes I will definitely post this next week after the finale :)
