This is a drama that everyone needs to watch once. A gripping, compelling and complex human drama about a successful pianist's destined journey through his trauma to finding closure and redemption. Masterfully written and edited, beautifully picturised and directed, with one of the most immersive and best scores I have heard in an Asian drama, and a brilliant, effortless performance by Nakai Masahiro, this was a poetic masterpiece. To the entire cast and crew - TAKE A BOW! *runs to YouTube to find the score*
P. S Do not stop at the end credits. There's a crucial scene after the end credits explaining 'Shukumei'.
I just updated the info of this new series. It is going to be a total of 7 episodes.https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B0D1DFLCQY/ref=atv_dp_share_cu_rEp…
Some dramas with a similar vibe I'd recommend if you liked this - Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi A Sleeping Forest Watashi wo Hanasanaide Kono Yo No Hate Soredemo, Ikite Yuku Suna no Utsuwa (2004)
The way each piece pierces at my heart, the way it elevates the tension, the way it just moves me. The score of this drama is STELLAR. I'm blown away by it. What an auditory treat.
I always say this for shorter dramas that are good - you really don't need a lot to deliver substance. It's all about having a good script and actors that can deliver. This had both. In less than 10 mins, this short drama showed us a journey of two people / two actors falling in love. We don't even know the background / struggles of these two characters and yet, the acting was powerful enough to show you when the lines got blur and fiction became reality. I would love to see more of these two. Highly recommend this :)
