Title Our Youth
Okay so I had to step away from dramas for almost 2 months and I watched 6 episodes of this drama, wanted to finish it this week finally. Only to find out through comments here about the arrest of Kenshin and everything. What he did is despicable and I hope the woman can heal her life properly after she gets justice. It's such a pity I can't finish the drama anymore, but I just can't sit there and watch it like nothing happened. IMHO separating the art from the artist? Not many people can do that successfully. It should be common sense that if he is proven guilty, people will also not complete/watch this drama further, but not finishing it or not watching it is not that big a deal. You're not missing much. The drama might have its good points, but they've been ruined by this actor. Let's not pretend any different, he's trash and so is this drama now, because he's cast in it. Maybe one day they'll remake this one, but let's not keep hopes up for that to happen. We don't live in a good world where this could happen. We don't live in a good world where women aren't SA'ed anymore. Wish we did, sadly we don't. For this reason we must believe victims when they come forward and also, as far as I've seen in comments, they must have some proof too, given that his company abandoned him and everyone else too. Maybe they knew about his antics? Maybe he did this sort of thing before? Who knows. What we should do is stop idolizing male celebrities. We don't know these men personally and actually, knowing a person takes decades and even then you don't know all there is to them. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking we know our faves. As for this drama, it's not that good, no need to cry over it and all. There will be even better JBLs coming up, I'm sure of it. The quality of JBLs have been improving in recent years, you don't need to cling to one series in particular too much. Obsession's not good for you.
