After watching some more-than-overrated dramas in the past weeks, I found this gem among the high rated dramas by one of the members I follow. It's short, very good production, editing, acting and a dark humor plot rarely found in C-dramas. I'm still smiling about it, and I wanted to share my smile in this chat :D
"which star are you from" about a man who meets a village girl who looks like his girlfriend that died 3 years…
The standard story structure in romance books, movies and tv series, include secondary male and female leads to propel the relationship to some direction, as well as to gain insight into the main leads through their interaction with secondary leads, as well as side characters. They are not meant to have happy endings or to end up with the main leads. Without them the love story of the main leads can only be showed in shorter length films, such as movies or mini-series, but cannot be accomplished in longer series such as dramas. Please note that this basic structure of romance found in books, tv series, etc, is not exclusive to K-dramas, but used all over the world. You haven't filled out your list of completed dramas here, so I'm not sure how many you have watched, so maybe you haven't realized yet the role that various group of characters must fill. But I can recommend you dramas that I've watched not only from several Asian countries, but also from Turkey, Latin America, Spain and United States, where you can confirm that the secondary male lead is very disposable and only used for the sake of the main love story.
A show that started good and went into the abyss real quick.

I wanted to, but I watch dramas and movies for entertaining and sad endings depress me. So I just started watching Which star are you from, he's younger there (25) but his acting is great and so far the drama is really cute
I found it mainstream to be honest. Not productionwise but the problem was script. It was boring. I waited so…
I checked your 'completed' list and I saw that you only rate Japanese dramas and movies. Have you ever watched other k-dramas besides this one? Maybe you're not used to the slowness of k-dramas. But I agree with your comment. And I noted that more and more I prefer 'romance' chinese dramas because there are so few romance K-dramas with at least a normal pace, let alone fast-paced, and which also have good overall acting and a decent script. By the way, I have 'Promise Cinderella' in my pending list, I'll give it a try since you rated 9.
He has acted in many dramas, most of them missing here, including First Love 2018 (where I first saw him), and he's not listed in that cast either: https://kisskh.at/30400-first-love
Hey y'all, I've noticed that many Asian dramas have IMDb pages. Now the weird thing is that I've had an account…
I'm an occasional imdb contributor for movies, but since some dramas I've watched are missing there, I'm planning on adding them at some point. If I watch this one and I like it, I'll add it to my pending imdb list. But you can try as well. Read these 2 links:
Finally, after so many dramas in the past months, here there are real and passionate kisses, which probably stood out more because I had just finished watching the brotherly-childish kisses (which are the trademark of Lee Jong Suk) in Romance is a bonus book .
