yeah.... idk what caused the writers to choose violence against the fandom like that 😭 I haven't read any fan fics. Thats too bad that you haven't found much of anything though. I feel like there is so much potential.

Have u seen Smallville? I think it's also on Netflix now. It isn't exactly what u are asking for but it reminds me a lot of Merlin and has that same charm + romance. It's about teenager superman as he discovers his powers and balances his hero life with his high school life. Just like Merlin, I was constantly yelling at the screen for Clark to just tell his friends he has powers, haha.

Merlin. Merlin (goofy and kind) and Arthur (honourable and stuck-up) have a really great
dynamic even if it isn't exactly the same. There is no romance between those two, although it
can be seen as romantic in a similar way to the Untamed and I know tons of ppl ship the
characters (even the actors). There is romance with other characters though.

One thing the Untamed really nailed was having lovable characters. Similarly, I really love all
of the main cast in Merlin, even as their dynamics changed.

Merlin is an amazing fantasy show with a similar CGI budget and the perfect mix between
light heartedness and tragedy. I was really surprised by how similar the shows were.

Highly recommend y'all watch Merlin. I just finished Merlin and was blown away. Merlin and Arthur are an iconic duo and I was heavily reminded of the Untamed while watching it. Especially the final season.

Are the deleted scenes worth watching the acoustic version for? I'm fine skipping out on explicit stuff if it means more time is spent on character building or adding extra plot details

Where can this be watched? The only way I found was to directly buy a DVD from Japan
