I loved the premise sooo much. I just wish it would have been a proper series because it has so much potential. I loved the actors and their characters. I also loved how it gave so easily that summer vibe. The only thing I dont like is that it is supposed to be and that it is only 2 episodes .
It didnt have time to show us Yeo Reums relationship with her parents. We only saw bits of her past briefly. It would have been so much better if they had also delved deeper into Choi Yeo Reums relationship with every single one of the boys and with their mother. I need more of them all together. It would have been amazing to explore more of how they welcomed her into their home and into their hearts and how she found a family.
I hated how Yeo Reums mother acted like she did. What do you mean she couldnt see that her child was being abused by her boyfriend. And then she got married to him and abandoned her daughter to go to Europe for 6 months?? And now she just appears from time to time to just see her daughter for a bit?? Their relationship was enough to fill 4 episodes honestly.
I also didnt like how they made it seem that she was gonna have a good relationship with her father because he went to her school to pick her up after class. I didnt like it because we didnt have any time to see her relationship with her father. And so seeing them together didnt give us the satisfaction that it could have given us if they showed more of how they ended up in that situation. It didnt elicit any emotion from the viewers and it felt undeserved.
We dont have time to see her father or mother understanding how neglectful they have been to their child and how this is also considered abuse and how they could try to do better. We dont get the satisfaction of seeing Yeo Reum exploring more about how she feels about this and how she tries to move forward.
I get that it was supposed to be only 2 episodes but damn it could have been such a beautiful series.

Firstly everyone agrees that the cinematography is absolutely amazing. Every shot was so beautiful. The scenes, the videography, chefs kiss.I loved the actors too. They did a great job.
What I didnt like was the how they went about it with the plot.
I think it would have been better if they focused more on using Do Ra Mi to "get revenge" on the ones who raised Mu Hee. She just showed up on the christening and thats it. They were child abusers and they deserved to go through hell. Dont even get me started on her father. What kind of disgusting parent is he that abandons his own daughter??
This story had so much potential for speaking up about child neglect, bad parenting, etc. But I feel like it didnt do enough on that part. But then again it was maybe because it tried to be too many things at the same time. There were so many characters where i felt like it just showed me enough to make me curious but then it didnt satisfy that curiosity to the end. For example with Ho Jin, I felt like they needed to shed more light in that situation with his mother. She was horrible to him and you expect me to believe that all they needed to say to each other was a simple sorry?? I wish all of these plot points were much more expanded on. That way the lesson from each of them would hit harder.
But I do have to say that now that I am reawatching some scenes I am understanding more and more Ho Jins feelings and Mu Hees feelings so I do think it deserves a rewatch.

I watched it because of Seo In guk and I loved it only becuse of his acting and the fl acting. They were so amazing together that I completely forgot about how bad their choices were. Their moments together felt so genuine and it really made me root for them even though they did crazy things. Them being together was so great that I chose to ignore why they should have never been together in the first place.
I didnt like the plot and the choices the characters made.
I wish Seung and Kim Moo Young hadnt gotten together or even if they did I wish he wouldnt have gotten her killed just for fun. I wish they wouldnt have made Jin Kang so bad that she decided to pursue her relationship with Kim Moo Young like 2 days after her friend died. These and many other things the characters did, dont even make any sense.
They could have chosen to show how broken Kim Moo Young was in other ways. They could have made his and Jin Kangs love story a dignified one.
And I dont even want to start talking about the brother. He was soooo frustrating, My God! He couldnt do anything right. If only he had told the truth to both of them since the beginning things wouldnt have gotten the way they did.
Splendid acting, amazing tragic story, not so good of a plot.

Ill start with the negatives and then ill go into what I loved. What I didnt like at all about the drama was the reason why Death started all this game. She said it was because he killed himself and therefore rejected and disrespected his fate and "made fun" of Death. I didnt like this perspective at all because its not fair. No one knows how much suffering you have to go through for your mind to decide that its better to kill yourself than live, except for the people who choose to kill themselves. Yes, its true that he didnt think about the pain he was going to inflict on his girlfriend and his mom, but instead of shaming the victim for wanting to end their pain we should shame the system and the ones who made him want to end it all. Its the peoples fault who act like they are more superior to others and bully others just for fun, like for the high school kid who also killed himself. Its the systems fault for not offering a good-enough support for people who go through so much hardship. Its the systems fault for making it so difficult for us to create good communities. And its also the peoples fault for supporting this kind of system. And instead of putting all the blame where it should be put, this drama made it seem like the guy had sinned. I would have absolutely loved it if he were a former-bully who now is suffering and maybe one of his victims kills him and then Death wanted to play with him. And being in all those different lives he learns what wrongs he did and how to repent. This way the drama would also give the message that people deserve a second chance and deserve to be forgiven after they have done the work. Instead, he suffered so much and now he has to suffer so much more just because he was a bit selfish when he was in so much pain?????
Also the ending from a directors pov is beautifully done, but from the writings pov it looks a bit lazy. Does it mean that he returns to the past? If yes that means that he is going to watch his girlfriends and his moms death. It also means that all that work was for nothing. All those corrupted people are just going to get away with it. How is that satisfying for us viewers? I wish there was one more episode to show us how he prevented his moms and gf death and maybe how he found a way to put all of those psychopaths to jail.
Now to the good things. It has an amazing cast. Everyone did a great job. It is very difficult for all those actors to portray the same character and still they nailed it. It never felt like there was a disconnection. It felt like all of them were the same soul.
The writing was so good too. Even thoughits easy for it to get boring the drama keeps us entertained by making each death interesting. I also loved how they were all connected. I like how it takes time for our guy to make the right choices too. Hes not a God. Hes just human and we all repeat the same mistakes over and over again until we learn from them.
The director did a great job also. I liked how with every story it did not take too much time to go straight to the point. From the first episode they explained his life, why he killed himself, why death punished him and what did he have to do to not go to hell and they also included how his first death happened. Thats a lot in just 45minutes., and they did an amazing job at making it not confusing and also interesting.
The shots in this drama were beautiful too. The videography was amazing. They even did every gunshot from Death in a different way.
So, except from the premise, everything in this drama is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

I dont understand how people have given this a 10.Yes the chemistry is good and yes the main leads did a good job, but other than that its not good at all.
The characters and the plot are written so poorly.
We are to believe that the female lead is smart and someone who can be manipulative if needed and yet all she does is just ask her mother to give her money or she is gonna expose her but she never does. Its the same story that gets repeated over and over again. Her mother offers her money in turn for her to never talk to the male lead again, she takes the money and avoids XiXiao for a bit and then they continue hanging out like nothing happened. And then somehow she needs money again.
And as for her relationship with the male lead I dont understand how can she be so stupid as to keep these secrets from him and still decide to not expose the mother. I also dont understand how can the ml forgiver her so easily every single time. He forgives after learning that she used him, forgives her after being made to believe that she and the mother may be plotting something together and after being made to think that she is the one who ripped apart his drawing. And after all of this he still tells her that hes not going to blame her if he hears the whole truth from her and she still has the audacity to say that she doesnt want to tell him.
The adults all act like children too.
